The Brazos VFD is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to protecting the lives, property and safety of the Brazos community.  We are proud to share that our new fire station is now built and operational, with our fire trucks officially housed in the new facility.  While the structure is complete, we are continuing to finish out essential areas including the bathrooms, offices and kitchen. Funds raised through events like the Crazy 8 Brazos VFD 5K, directly support these final improvements, as well as vital equipment and training, ensuring we can continue to serve our community with excellence for years to come.     We would love to host the race around our new fire station, (201 E Rusk St), though final plans have not yet been made. WALK FOR WATER CRISIS RELIEF: Join Us for the 2-Mile Walk

Join us for a 2-mile Water Relief Walk at WALTER HALL Park in League City, Texas, on HWY 3 at: 807 SH 3 N League City, TX 77573. Arrive early by 8:30 am. The walk begins at the Pavillion in the park by 9:00 am following a short registration completion and instructions about the how and with a few short stories or testimonials about our intervention for the water crisis.  WHY? My younger brother (Matthew aka Beard) and I (Miguel aka Beans) definitely know a thing or two about it. Together, we decided to put our competitive efforts toward a cause for a disease that has affected our family, Alzheimer’s!! Even in hard times our family has always been light hearted and fun, so with that, we compete to see which brother can raise the most money in donations for the Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas. The FOURTH ever Leander Band 5k will be held on Saturday, April 25th!!! The mission of the race is to assist in fundraising efforts for the internationally-decorated Leander HS Band Program. Registration is open to any and all ages, and prizes will be awarded in several categories.
