Walkers, runners, and children are welcome to join Expectations Women’s Center for their 8th Annual 5K Run. The course takes runners on a 3.5 mile loop on quiet country roads, beginning and ending at Christ Wesleyan Church. All proceeds will benefit the services Expectations Women’s Center offers to the community free of charge, including healthy relationship education, pregnancy tests, parenting education, ultrasound services, and post-abortion support. But after 16 years of hard work begging, complaining, and cajoling, in 2025 our li'l bridgey was reborn! Come join us on a run (or walk) into Riverview Park via what many are calling the "Wonder of Brighton Heights" and "neat": the new Davis Avenue Bridge (LI'L BRIDGEY)! The event is May 30th, 2026 and begins at the Davis side of li'l bridgey, heads into Riverview park, around the Allegheny observatory and back down to finish where it started.

A Summer Biathlon is Cross Country running combined with Rifle Marksmanship   The 6K running race is divided into three parts:   First: The timing starts with waves of one or two runners leaving the start line every minute and running an approximately 1-mile loop. As you approach the shooting range at the end of the first running loop, you will run into the range, catching your breath, lie down in the prone position and pick up an easy to use .22 caliber target rifle. You shoot 5 shots at 4.5-inch metal knock down targets 33 meters away. For each missed target you are required to run a 70-meter penalty loop after the shooting stop. If course conditions do not permit a penalty loop, 25 seconds will be added to the runners overall time for each target missed.      Second: After this first shooting stop, you run out of the range and run the same 1-mile loop again. Come run and walk with the Borough's Bravest Volunteers as we raise funds for the Burn Prevention Network's Camp Susquehanna!       What is Camp Susquehanna?       Camp Susquehanna is a program of the Burn Prevention Network that offers year-round online activities and a 4-day, sleep-away experience for youths ages 7-21 who have had a serious burn injury. It is an opportunity for children to have fun, learn life skills, meet other burn survivors, and process the trauma of their injury in a supportive environment. Although Camp Susquehanna’s campers are of varying ages, activities and groups are geared towards each camper’s developmental needs.     5K will begin at the Old Forge High School's Veterans Memorial Stadium, move through mostly residential areas, and end a block away from the Famous Revello's Pizza. The South Fayette Glow Run is a charity 1 mile/5k race benefiting Four Diamonds. America250PA  Fun 5K Walk/Run along the Susquehanna River in quaint McElhattan PA Profits will go to  Wayne Township Recreation Committee, which funds projects at the Wayne Township Nature Park and other parks located in Wayne Township in Clinton County PA. The parks provide walking paths and covered pavilions along with parking and bathroom availability during the  regular season. The Rec Committee organizes Easter and Christmas events, Halloween fun and hayrides, and other celebrations throughout the year to local residents. This event is in conjunction with the America250PA celebration.

What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a family-friendly color run? There will be one mile and 5K options, both filled with lots of color, water blasters, bubbles, and music! There will be a clock, but this is not an officially timed race. Check your time when you cross the finish line to see which wrestlers you were able to beat. Celebrate your finish with face painting and Kona Ice! All proceeds benefit the Fort LeBoeuf Girls Wrestling team. The 1-Mile Fun Run will go to the compass at 37th and Locust and back. The start and finish line will be on Locust Street, by the PAS playground. Strollers for the 1-Mile Fun Run are welcome.  Pets are not permitted on the 1-mile Fun Run course.

Welcome to the September Inner Warrior Collective Virtual Mileage Challenge — the second challenge in our annual 4 part series! This challenge series is extra special because it also marks the official launch of what Inner Warrior Collective is truly all about: building a community that moves with purpose and gives back together. Moving forward, Inner Warrior Collective will be choosing different organizations and causes close to our running community’s heart to support through our challenges and events. We believe movement can create real impact — not only within ourselves, but for others as well. For our September challenge, all funds raised will go directly toward the The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA, a 501(c)(3) Non profit organization. your donation will go towards my dear friend, Ashley Julin's fundraising efforts as she will be running in a 26 mile relay team in her brother's memory. The donations raised will help provide support groups, camp frog, scholarships and education, Oscar project, sleep/movement monitors and emergency medication assistance to individuals who live with epilepsy. We will make the donation under one lump sum under "Inner Warrior Runners" to help support Ashley in her training and for all individuals who are impacted by Epilepsy. Participants may walk, run, or bike their intentional miles throughout the challenge duration. This event is designed for all fitness levels — whether you are just beginning your journey or training toward major goals. 🌟 September Special Feature: Choose your favorite mile type 🌟 Participants may register and select ONE of their favorite mile types to focus on when the site prompts you to select a group. Join Pennsylvania Dairy Princess & Promotion Services, Inc. as we raise funds for Fill a Glass with Hope campaign to provide nutritious milk to families experiencing food insecurity.  All proceeds will go directly to the Fill a Glass with Hope campaign to be distributed to Feeding Pennsylvania's nine-member food banks that support families in every county in the commonwealth in bringing food home.  There will be various children and youth activities as well as awards for the top three placings in each race category.

The Watsontown JesVic 5K was started in 2007 by Shannon (Hoffman) Pyles and Suzie (Wade) Watts to honor two community women, Jessica Wade and Vicki Hitesman, who both passed away from cancer. Jessica was a blue-eyed, athletic 20-year-old, a graduate of Warrior Run High School, who pursued a college degree. Among her many goals was to run a marathon someday. The other—a former nurse who touched the lives of the patients and their families from her early days at Williamsport Hospital and Kramm’s Nursing Home. She was a survivor of Hodgkin’s disease. Her youngest son played baseball, her oldest ran cross country at Warrior Run. Vicki and her husband (who is also a runner) supported the cross-country team, and all their sons’ endeavors.Both had touched the lives of those in their community and in their workplace. The Wissahickon Trail Classic was established in 2006 to highlight Wissahickon Valley Park as one of the best trail running destinations on the East Coast. Back for its 17th year, the Wissahickon Trail Classic will engage hundreds of trail runners from the region, providing a unique race experience in Philadelphia’s premier park. Benefiting Friends of the Wissahickon, funds raised through the Trail Classic will go directly back into the stewardship of the Wissahickon trail system and watershed. Get ready to run the beautiful trails of Asbury Woods with our Into the Woods 5 Miler trail race.  In this 2nd race of the 2026 season, tackle the 5-mile competitive course that includes a mix of boardwalks, packed dirt trails and single track loops.   Get the kids in on the action with a kid’s fun run that is approximately 1/2 mile. This race will be a challenging 5K run/walk in the Tamaqua Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA. This will be an all thrills no frills run on the historic and scenic cemetery circa 1861 built on the side of a mountain. This cemetery is one of only 2 Victorian Garden cemeteries in Schuylkill County. The theme this year will be Red, White and Blue in honor of 250 years of America! Feel free to wear your best patriotic outfit to celebrate. There will be prizes for the top three runners and the best patriotic outfit. After the race there will be a reception with music, light snacks and refreshments.

This will be the 1st event in the Valley Running Club Festival of Races!!   All courses will be run out and back on the scenic Honey Hole Road.  Start and Finish is located at the Honey Hole Winery. The official Gun Start will be at 7:00 a.m. for the Half Marathon and 7:30 for the 5K & 10K Races. The JR Taylor 5K is a family friendly event, run or walked on the Montour Trail.  It begins 800 feet north of the trail’s J. R. Taylor Memorial Bridge over Clifton Road in Bethel Park, near Washington Elementary School and Al's Cafe. We have special pricing of $15 for ages 17 and under!
