Bob Friday was a long time teacher and coach at Henderson High School.  His teams won 2 state team championships in track and field and many individual state championships.  More importantly, he taught his athletes and students to show integrity throughout their lives.  The Warrior Invitational has been renamed the Bob Friday Invitational in his honor.  The meet will be help on April 10 at Henderson High School. Supporting vulnerable children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. 100% of funds raised from race participants and donors support Hopewell United Methodist Church’s New Life Rockstars (a Christian program for young adults with disabilities) and our sister ministry, Ma’s for Wellington in South Africa. Ma’s for Wellington serves preschool children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, providing meals, medical care, transportation, and a safe space to grow in self-worth and belonging. Your impact:    •    $10 nurtures one child for a full day of programming    •    $20 provides a month of transportation for one young adult    •    $50 provides medical care and four meals per week for a young adult We believe every person is uniquely created, deeply valued, and gifted for a purpose!

The Bournelyf 5k Run and 2k Walk is back in downtown West Chester.  Thank you to Bentley Systems for serving as our title sponsor again this year!  The race will take place on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 at 6:30 PM. Check-in, T-shirt Pick-Up and Registration will be in the Nudy's Parking Lot starting at 5:00 PM.  Nudy's is located at the corner of Market and New Streets, right by the finish line and 2 blocks from the start line.   After the race, join us at Wrong Crowd Beer Company for the after party and some great prizes (including cash prizes!).  All 21+ runners/walkers will get a free beer or drink! The eighth annual Rams Let's Walk 5k will be held on Sunday, September 20th, 2026 at 9am to raise funds and awareness for West Chester University student-athlete mental health. WCU students, staff, faculty, family, friends, and community members are encouraged to rally with us in support of our student-athletes through participation in the 5k race or 1 mile walk. The purpose of the race is to: Raise funds to benefit WCU student-athletes, providing new and additional resources toward mental health initiativesRaise awareness surrounding mental health, including suicide prevention awarenessProvide mental health education and resources Mental health and suicide prevention awareness are topics near and dear to WCU Athletics, affecting our WCU student-athletes and community directly. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.  Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. Welcome! We're thrilled to see you at our 8th annual Cider Run 5K! We're excited to be running and walking with you at Highland Orchards through the beautiful fruit groves on Saturday November 7th, 2026. The day of the event, in person registration opens at 9 am, the run and walk starts at 10 am, and then after the race you can enjoy festivities from local food trucks and a craft beer garden on the grounds from 11 am - 2 pm. It's a great way to spend your day! All participants will receive a free technical running shirt, and a free serving of Highland Orchard Apple Cider and an apple cider donut. All proceeds go to supporting Coatesville Kids to College's work to empower children and youth in Coatesville through affordable full-day pre-k and free after-school and summer programs.
