Run, bike, walk with the dog (or without), bike, hike or drive! You choose your mode of movement, your distance and your frequency of the "race." Participate with a Grange shirt or other swag on (including your Common Routes cooling towel) and think about the place Grange has had in your life. Participate as a Grange and take time to brainstorm while on the move or invite a friend or friends to join you and learn more about why the Grange is an important part of your life.

Join the Zebras for this Zebra Dazzle event for all fitness levels. The 5k Walk/Run has 2 options. You can participate as an onsite participant on 9/12 at Carter Barron in Rock Creek Park, NW Washington DC or as a virtual participant.  Prices will be awarded for top onsite finishers! Virtual participants can walk or run anywhere and will be able to upload their time. The 100-Mile/30-Day bike challenge is virtual only.  This challenges provides the opportunity to ride 100 miles from anywhere over the span of 30 days during August 12 - September 12. This year, the N.S.C.A.R. has organized a virtual “Founder’s Day 5K” to promote the National Project and the C.A.R. Day of Service. Through this event, societies nationwide can register and participate around the weekend of April 5th to support the N.S.C.A.R. General Fund and serve in their communities. Members are encouraged to participate in local 5Ks, set up their own races, or serve in different ways like running with first responders, cheering on runners, distributing medals, or passing out water to runners. Registration is open through National Convention if you'd like to sign up late and get your steps in with friends there!

Enjoy spring at the U.S. National Arboretum during FONA's Flowering 5K. This run or walk will take you past garden collections brightly colored with spring flowers, over tree-lined rolling hills, and along streams winding their way to the Anacostia River. Enjoy cherry blossoms, magnolias, and so much more! This race is not only scenic but also safe and secure. All roads are closed to cars during this race so you can safely enjoy running or walking through this 451-acre urban green space. The Southern Utah Half Marathon is a beautiful route starting at Highland Park in Washington, UT. It offers amazing views of the sun rising over Zion National Park in the distance. The race will proceed quickly downhill through City of Washington to the scenic Virgin River Trail. This paved trail offers a gradual decline grade for the remaining 9 miles of the race.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Every spring, Congressional Cemetery blooms with new life as we welcome the reawakening of our environmental treasures, including several species of DC's iconic cherry blossom trees! These beautiful spring hallmarks punctuate every spring in DC with their stunning beauty. While typically associated with the tidal basin, Congressional Cemetery has dozens of beloved cherry blossoms from several different species, including Yoshino, Kanzan, and Okame trees. Truly, our cherry blossoms hold a special place in our hearts. We run, walk, and celebrate in honor of the memory of Tricia Davis who was committed to combating housing insecurity and turned this commitment towards the establishment and longevity of Sinai House. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Sinai House, a residential social service program in Washington, DC, in its mission to enable families to move from homelessness towards self-sufficiency by providing safe and affordable housing, comprehensive social services and financial support. The Washington Police Department explorer post will be hosting their inaugural 5k run.  The money raised will be used to help send the explorers to the annual St. Louis Area Law Enforcement Explorer Academy, which is a week long event held in the St. Louis area.  The academy costs the post roughly $450 per kid per year.  A majority of this is paid for by the post to allow for all explorers to attend that want to attend, regardless of financial ability. We are hoping to send 6-7 explorers this year. This is a program that is designed for youth aged 14-20 who want to learn about law enforcement.  Exploring is covered under the Boy Scouts of America Learning for Life umbrella. This run is being held the day before National Police Week begins. The Kitchel Injury Law Capitol Hill Classic is an annual 10K, 3K and Fun Race—the only race run exclusively on the roads of Capitol Hill. Funds raised through the event benefit the Capitol Hill Cluster School, a DC public school serving over 1,100 students. The race started in 1980, and the 10K is the oldest and biggest in Washington, DC. The 10K starts out in front of Peabody Primary School, just a few blocks from the US Capitol. Runners traverse Capitol Hill, passing Stanton Park, the Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, Lincoln Park, the RFK stadium campus, and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. The 3K course also begins at Peabody Primary School. Runners head to East Capitol Street and trek to Lincoln Park and back. The Fun Run is a single lap around Stanton Park (approximately a third of a mile).

The event honors one of the club's founders, Paul Thurston. What better way to start your summer with a 5k in the Nation's Capital. This 5k will be an out and back on pavement in the picturesque Rock Creek Park. In honor of Memorial Day, we encourage you to come out in red, white, and blue. As we celebrate the start of LGBTQIA+ Pride month, please come join community members from across the country for the 14th annual DC Front Runners' Pride 5K run/walk. The race celebrates everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community and is a welcoming space for all members and allies to join in a fun morning of sport. The race starts and ends at the Historic Congressional Cemetery and passes through scenic Washington, D.C., along the Anacostia River trail and the fields at RFK campus.

This exciting, community-focused event is perfect for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. The race kicks off with a 300-yard swim in the indoor aquatic center at the Washington YMCA (520 W 5th St., Washington, IA 52353), providing a comfortable and controlled start. After the swim, participants will transition to the 13 mile bike course on the Kewash Trail, riding out and back on this scenic, flat route. The final leg is a 5K run, starting and finishing at the Y and traveling through beautiful Sunset Park. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or trying your first triathlon, this event offers a fun, supportive atmosphere that celebrates healthy living and community spirit. Join us for part two of our campaign for 9/11/2026. On the morning of 08 September after a reading honoring the 184 people whose lives where lost at the Pentagon 25 years ago, our Tribute Run will continue as we make our way to NYC. A team of 30 runners from Old Town Run Club and Murphy's Run Club, will have run 170 miles over a two-day period from the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville PA, carrying a flag that will continue all the way to New York. Day 1 will have us tackling 110 miles passing through DC, heading north through Maryland into the hills in PA, where we will bed down for the night in Mountville PA. Day 2 has us up at the crack of dawn covering 69 miles and finishing up in time for drinks and dinner in Skippack PA. Another overnight in Kulpsville PA. Day3 will be an 87 mile affair finally heading east through NJ and across the Goethals Bridge arriving in Staten Island. This event, hosted by the Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® in collaboration with the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, Inc. (PIEF), honors the 40th anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® founder Norma E. Boyd’s passing. Norma E. Boyd, born on August 9, 1888, was a native Washingtonian dedicated to educational and humanitarian pursuits for children throughout her 97 years of life. She was an incorporator and founding member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and a charter member of the Xi Omega Chapter. Since 2013, the Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education has raised over $118,000, directly supporting PIEF's mission to provide college scholarships for District of Columbia high school students. This event will benefit ovarian cancer research through the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition. We are excited to offer a yearly event to raise funds and awareness about ovarian cancer. There is no screening method to detect ovarian cancer. The signs and symptoms of the disease are often vague. Some of the signs/symptoms include bloating, feeling full quickly, abdominal or pelvic pain, and urinary frequency. All women with ovaries are at risk for this disease. Join us on October 24th, 2026, to run or walk on Warren Tech's Cross Country teams' 5K course. The course has a couple of "gentle" hills with a mix of grass and pavement. This will be a hand-timed event with no age or gender group awards, just beautiful scenery and exercise. The course is well marked, and we will have a water station midway. You must register by October 5th to guarantee a t-shirt.
