New Year's 5K & Kids Half Mile Start the New Year on the right foot! Kick off the year with fresh goals, good company, and a few miles at the New Year's 5K! Whether you're chasing a new personal best, starting a New Year's resolution, or simply looking for a fun way to get moving with family and friends, this race is the perfect way to begin the year. Join us on January 2nd at 10:00 am for the 5K. We're also getting the youngest runners involved with a Kids Half Mile, making this a great event for the entire family. 5K Race The New Year's 5K follows the Gold Line of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Travelers Rest High School - plenty of parking in front. Starts and finishes on track at TRHS; most of race is on the Swamp Rabbit Trail Gold Line. We'll announce the packet pickup details — as soon as it's confirmed. What time does the race start? The 5K starts at 10:00 AM. The Kids Half Mile starts at 9:30. The Kids Half Mile is only $5 — do I still need to register my child? Yes. Registering ahead of time helps us plan for every young runner on race day. Is the course okay for walkers, strollers, or first-timers? Yes — the 5K starts and finishes on the TRHS track, but is mostly on the Gold Line of the Swamp Rabbit Trail...designed for runners and walkers of all abilities. Registration & Transfer Policy All registrations are managed through your RunSignUp profile. You can transfer your entry to another runner, switch between the 5K and Kids Half Mile, transfer to a different Upstate Race Series event, update your personal details, or manage add-ons and apparel — all without contacting us. Welcome to the 50th running of the Green Valley Road Race!  Our host venue will be Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, SC. We have 2 options for you.  We will have a revised 10 Mile course to get to slightly less traffic roads. It will still be a big 10 mile hilly loop.  New for 2027, to honor the 50th running of the Green Valley Road Races, we will have the RETURN OF THE 5 MILE!  The 5 Mile will be point to point and optional transportation to the start line will be provided as part of your registration fee.  Course maps and more info will be provided at a later date. As always with Greenville Track Club events, you can expect our courses will be well marked and accurately measured.  Our venue is top notch with bathrooms with plumbing and a pavilion for a bit of shelter. Our awards will be premium and way cool.  And I suspect there will be a door prize or two. After the race, enjoy a meal at one of TR's excellent restaurants like Tandem, Farmhouse Tacos, or Sidewall Pizza. The 10

The Ville to Ville Sprint Relay is a 3-person running relay. Teams will complete 21 miles with a start and finish at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, SC. Runners will travel the Swamp Rabbit Trail and enjoy a festive post-race tailgate celebration with music, college football, and craft brews. Enjoy all the fun of Ville to Ville camaraderie in a shorter timeframe without needing a team vehicle. Race Format The event features six legs, with each consecutive leg getting shorter by one mile. Three team members will split the six legs, with runner #1 completing Legs 1 & 4, runner #2 completing Legs 2 & 5, and runner #3 completing Legs 3 & 6. All teams will start the event at 10 am. Leg 1 - 6 MilesLeg 2 - 5 MilesLeg 3 - 4 MilesLeg 4 - 3 MilesLeg 5 - 2 MilesLeg 6 - 1 Mile Fees Team Captains will pay the total team fee when registering.
