Rise N' Grind 5k is a run/walk that's open to everyone in the Springfield community. This 5k is a fundraiser for Harmony House that Alpha Chi Omega is organizing to support our philanthropy: domestic violence awareness. We would like to focus on educating our community about resources available to them and ensure that we support those that have experienced this.

We are excited to bring two new events to the community for 2026, in celebration of our anniversary!  These events are one of a kind and will not be offered after this year.  Our Fellows Lake 5 and 8 Mile Trail Runs, March 28, showcase the amazing beauty of the Fellows Lake area.  The trails have just the right combination of challenge and fun, making them an ideal running option.  Race amenities will be showcased the week of January 19 with early registrants receiving a unisex tri-blend hoodie.

This annual event continues to honor and celebrate the amazing life and ministry of co-founder Steve Proffitt (1954–2021), whose legacy lives on through every student touched by this place of belonging and hope.

We will be back at the same location as last year—1409 E Cherry Street, the field next to Sleepy Opossum Cafe—following our tried-and-true route.  This family-friendly event welcomes animal lovers and athletes of all ages and experience levels. Well-socialized, leashed pups are encouraged (no retractable leashes). Choose from a 1-mile, 5K, or virtual race option. Every step supports Rescue One and helps save lives! Run & Remember is more than a 5K. Each year Lost & Found Grief Center hosts our memorial event and 5K to bring our community together to honor the memory of loved ones who have died. This is an opportunity for you to invite others to remember your loved one with you. Being alongside others with shared experience helps create a sense of togetherness, showing that no one is grieving alone. 5K RUN/WALK & 1 MILE MEMORY WALK: Run & Remember is an all ages, all abilities event. You can run or walk the 5K through downtown Springfield or follow the shaded path back to the park on the 1 Mile Memory Walk that ends at the Memory Garden.
