Lace up your sneakers and join us for the 2026 Move for the Museum 5K Run/Walk to support the Santa Fe Children's Museum! Whether you’re an experienced runner or just looking for a fun walk with family and friends, Move for the Museum is the perfect way to get active while making a real difference. This event is in memory of Michaelann Perea, Museum Board member and community volunteer who inspired many and truly cared for the mission and work of the Museum. Every step you take helps fund educational programs, hands-on exhibits, and exciting experiences for kids in our community. It’s a chance to get outdoors, have fun, and give back to a great cause.  Join us and help to inspire and continue the joys of play for children—one step at a time!

The 47th annual Santa Fe Run Around will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The race starts and finishes at Villa Linda Park 4246 Rodeo Road   Parking: Public Parking Date: The race is Saturday, May 2 at 8:00 am and the Kids Fun Run will start about 9:00 am. On-line registration will end April 29 at 6 pm. Race day packet pick up and registration will be from 7:00 am to 7:45 am on Saturday, May 2.   Race Fees: 5K - $40 before April 4, $45 after April 5 to April 29, $50 April 30 and on Race Day ONLINE REGISTRATION closes on April 29 at 6 pm. NO REFUNDS Kids Fun Run (14 and under) is free.  Shirts and Awards: T-Shirt guaranteed if registered for the 5K by April 11th, 2026.  Kids Fun Run (14 and under) participants will receive a race shirt if registered by April 11 , 2026. Be a part of the Santa Fe Striders Running Festival on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Municipal Recreation Sports Complex. There will be 5K and 10K cross country course and races with distances that vary with age group for younger runners. The 5K & 10K courses are on trail/dirt roads except for .25 miles.   Races for 3 - 14 Years Old Runners For our younger runners we have several free races based on age. Why? To get kids moving! To promote a healthy lifestyle and educate kids about running.  3 – 4 yrs old – 200 meters 5 – 6 yrs old – 400 meters 7 – 8 yrs old – 800 meters 9 – 10 yrs old – 1 mile 11 – 14 yrs old – 2 miles You MUST check in by 8:45 am to receive your race number.  Free giveaway (SWAG) guaranteed if registered by June 25.
