Virtual Run - Run/walk 4-miles using a GPS watch or fitness application.  Take a picture of the final distance and submit it to racedirector@beerandbagel.com. Once the results are submitted, we will send your race shirt with either "I'm a Drinker with a Running Problems" OR "I'm a Root Beer Drinker with a Running Problem!" on the back along with a bib number, and finisher's medal.   Thank you so much for participating in the Beer & Bagel Virtual Run!

The Clarkson College Student Physical Therapist Assistant Association is hosting an annual fun run/walk. Participants complete either a 1-mile walk or a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles).  We host this event every year to build community relations while promoting health and wellness. It provides a great opportunity to bring community members and future health care professionals together! Background:   From about 1921 to 1925 the city of Omaha wintered alligators in Fire Station No. 6, located at 24th & Cuming street. When the weather turned warm the alligators were transferred to Riverside Park, which today is the location of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. On March 22, 1922 an alligator escaped its basement enclosure, mounted the stairs, and chased Captain Charles R. Fleming, and the other seven firefighters, from the firehouse. It was an event of some notoriety, receiving several columns of ink in Omaha newspapers.    In memory of this strange, historical moment, the Omaha Firefighters Historical Society (OFFHS) returns with Captain Fleming’s 2nd Annual 5K Gator Fun Run. How we started:  In 2018, our friend and former Ironman Nate Wigdahl, had recently become an amputee due to a devastating injury. He desperately wanted to start running again and we knew that we could count on Omaha's running community to help him achieve his dream. He knew that insurance wouldn't cover the cost of a running blade and he knew he had his work cut out for him. So Nate and a few friends decided to host a 5K fundraiser, and called it The Blade 5K. The quickly put-together event was a huge success and with the funds raised we were able to purchase a blade for Nate.  Nate had an even deeper desire to help other amputees to overcome obstacles to living their best healthy lifestyle.  Our momentum: In 2019, The Blade 5K obtained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, and began holding monthly board meetings. The Board of Directors created a nomination process, so that other deserving amputees could apply to receive the proceeds from our race to pay for the (non-covered) cost of th

The RipRoar Omaha Youth Triathlon welcomes athletes ages 6-15-year-old, as of December 31, 2026, of all backgrounds and abilities to complete a course of swimming, biking, and running at age-appropriate distances, as well as athletes of ALL ages to compete in the RipRoar Relay! The RipRoar Youth Triathlon Series has received numerous awards and nominations for its work empowering and teaching youth life lessons through endurance athletics.

Omaha - ZORINSKY LAKE PARK!

A 1 to 3 mile walk around the 1/3 mile oval at Turner Park in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday July 19th at 9am. The proceeds go the Children's Nebraska Pediatric Oncology Department. The walk is part of a free family Ice Cream Day celebrating Butter Brickle Ice Cream which was created in Omaha in the 1920's. After the walk, kids entertainment, outdoor games and free ice cream will be served. There will also be a kids walk for kids 1 to 15. No T-Shirts for that walk.

Nebraska's Running Road Trip 75ish Miles from Omaha to Lincoln. The largest day-long relay in the nation, the Market to Market® Relay Nebraska takes teams from the Omaha Metro to Downtown Lincoln. Over the course of 75ish miles, teams take on running stages, each stage varying in distance from 3 to 5 miles.  The course follows trails, paved streets and gravel back roads through a diverse and scenic slice of Nebraska.
