Ram Council Foundation CD Fun Run Event Overview The inaugural Ram Council Foundation CD Fun Run will be held at the New Canaan (CT) High School Track — a safe surface with no asphalt, concrete, or potholes on Saturday, November 7, 2026 Run or walk as many laps as you can in 14 minutes and 48 seconds (the equivalent in inches of the circumference of a Compact Disc). Runners and walkers will be in separate lanes. Music for all generations will be played throughout the event. Participants can register online and check in early at the New Canaan Public Library on Thursday, November 5, 4-6 p.m. and Friday November 6, 3-5 p.m. and then on race day on the New Canaan Track starting at 8 a.m. All proceeds will go toward the Ram Council Foundation. The Ram Council Foundation is a New Canaan–based nonprofit that provides 7th–12th grade students with substance‑free activities, leadership opportunities, and community engagement to promote healthy decision‑making Race Categories Women's Race and Men's Race: Multiple laps in 14 minutes and 48 secondsKid's Race (8 years and under): One lap race (400 meters) First 125 entries in Women's and Men's races will receive a CD Fun Run Cap. Race Schedule Women's Race: 9:00 a.m.Kid's Race (8 years and under): 9:30 a.m.Men's Race: 9:45 a.m. Lap Tracking Each entrant is responsible for keeping track of their total laps run. The race will provide volunteers if participants need assistance with lap counting. The best approach is to bring a companion who can keep count from the bleachers. Lap sheets will be provided, and each lap counter must confirm the number of whole laps with the runner after the race and record it on the lap sheet. Get ready for Thanksgiving with a short run through Waveny Park the Sunday before the holiday. 5 km course starting and finishing at the Main House. ChronoTrack B-Tag timing. The event will take place on Sunday, November 22, 2026 at Waveny Park from the Main House. Runners can check in on race day beginning at 10:30 AM, and can also check in early on Friday, November 20, 3-5 PM and Saturday, November 21, 10 AM-1 PM at the New Canaan Library. There will be an optional group warm up and race kickoff beginning at 11 AM. The race itself will begin at 11:30 AM. All proceeds benefit Open Doors Shelter in Norwalk, CT

WE ARE KEEPING THE START OF THE 5k AND WALK AT 9:30am.  THIS HELPS US TO MAINTAIN SAFETY AND WORK WITH ANY WEATHER/TRACTION ISSUES ON OUR COURSE. WE WANT YOU SAFE AND WILL USE AN ALTERNATE  ROAD/driveway course if needed. (we have never had to!) THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING.                                  We are excited to bring you the 13th Annual New Canaan Santa Run!                                     Join us on Saturday Dec 19, at Waveny Park in New Canaan CT   All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to run or walk our 5K course or 1-mile course. Gather your family and friends to start your pre-Christmas weekend together in the pastoral setting of a truly scenic park.   Our Waveny Park courses start & finish at the historic 'Castle'. The park is home to spacious fields and groomed trails. You'll experience a true, peaceful setting with Nature on all sides!   Funds raised will help underwrite the $30,000 cost for our food packing event.
