Plan to make the trip to Lagoon Park’s Pete Peterson Lodge in Montgomery, AL to be a part of the 5th Beaver Trail 5K.  The Beaver Trail 5K will take runners on the beautiful Lagoon Park Trails, Montgomery’s outdoor adventure area!  After the race, runners will enjoy complimentary post-race refreshments and the awards ceremony.  All the proceeds from this event are used for the maintenance of and upgrades to the Lagoon Park Trails, one of Montgomery's hidden gems! Join us Saturday, March 21st, to kick off spring with the Montgomery Whitewater Hootenanny 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run!  (Float) Race Day begins on land with the Hootenanny 5K at 10:00 AM, followed immediately by the 1-Mile Fun Run at 11:00 AM. The 5K  Bunny Hop is an event created by Move Montgomery to promote wellness in the River Region by encouraging Montgomery residents to live healthier, happier lives. The run/walk will allow participants to exercise at their own pace while staying healthy and having fun!  This year's 5K Bunny Hop is being hosted by the world class Montgomery Whitewater! Montgomery Whitewater is All Forward into the Spring with the first Lil' Tri of the season! Lil' Tri is a fun, kid-friendly triathlon for ages 6-11 featuring a 371-yard flatwater paddle, 704-yard bike ride, and 880-yard run. Montgomery Whitewater will provide all paddle equipment; participants must bring their own bike and helmet and wear secure shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs). Kids ages 6-10 must paddle with an adult in the inflatable kayak; 11-year-olds may paddle solo. Siblings may pair together.  This race is not timed and has no official winners. All participants who register by Friday, April 10th, will receive a race t-shirt and medal. Participants who register after Friday, April 10th, will not receive a t-shirt. Run Paddle Run is a fast-paced, multi-discipline race in Montgomery Whitewater’s Adventure Race Series. The course features a 1.5-mile run, a 2,200-foot creek-channel paddle in inflatable kayaks (duckies), and finishes with another 1.5-mile run back to the raft barn. 47th running of Montgomery's Jubilee Run. Come join the excitement of Montgomery’s longest standing competitive running event!  Montgomery Jubilee Runs are now set for May 16th, 2026  This iconic Montgomery event features competitive runs/walk on a 8K USATF certified course and the Peggy Lanier 2-Mile.  The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has bestowed the designation of  Alabama 8K State Championship for this race! The River Region Runners' Club is proud to plan, organize, and host the 2026 Montgomery Jubilee Run in its 47th year.  This year's event will raise funds for the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches.  The runs will be staged from historic Old Alabama Town.  The 8K running event attracts runners from all over the River Region, Alabama, and beyond!  State running records have been established at many of past Jubilee Runs and promises to add more to the record book.  In addition to the 8K, there will be a 2-mile run/walk in honor of Peggy McLendon Lanier.     Race I

The Montgomery Regional Airport is excited to host its second annual Runway 5K. The MGM Runway 5K is on a closed course located on the airfield with roughly four miles of runway. Racers will run on Taxiway Bravo, Delta, Echo, and Runway 3-21 south, which are all located beside our active Runway 3-21. Runners will have a chance to run beside aircraft and get a close-up view of aircraft landing and taking off. The uniqueness of this event allows runners to experience the airport grounds, amazing views of the MGM terminal and participate in a 5K race like no other! You must register as a runner to participate. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult. Children 5 and under free with registered adult. The race will be limited to the first 500 participants. Early registration is encouraged! Registered participants will be able to run or walk the runway.
