Richwood, Louisiana— On April 25, 2026, Kount Teens 2 Mentor will be hosting “Community Lupus Awareness Walk.” which is a fundraiser event in support for Lupus Awareness Month. The “Walk A Mile In Our Shoes” will be a family fun-filled event with impactful information for all who attend. The event will kick off with a 2K walk or ride followed by live music and a guest survivor testimony. Our goal is to advocate awareness, show support, and bring recognition to the many lupus warriors in our community living with this mysterious disease.  Registration begins at 7:00 am. The warm-up begins at 7:15 am followed by the opening by Mayor Brown. Friend of a Cause, Silent Walkers, Riders and Group Participation can be accessed through the sponsorship QR code/Link.

Kount Teens 2 Mentor Organization is a non-profit organization that provides programs for young boys and girls ages 12-18. For the past five years, we have hosted year-round events such as entrepreneurship workshops, leadership training, mental health community events, community outreach, health and wellness events. Our mission is to equip teens throughout Northeast Louisiana and surrounding areas to be productive and successful members of society.   On April 25, 2026, our organization will host our 4th Annual Lupus Awareness Kickoff Walk, Ride or Run. We would be honored if you would join us in making this event a success. Celebrating the 14th Annual Run for the Red, White & Blue 5K/1K!   The Run for the Red, White & Blue 5K/1K is held each Memorial Day weekend to support the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum. Sign up to honor our active service members and veterans, and to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.   The course is flat, fast, and well surfaced.  The race will begin and end at the Museum with participants passing thru the Flags of Freedom for the last quarter mile. Timing by McDuffie Timing of West Monroe.   All race proceeds benefit CAMM.  Free tours of the Museum will take place during and after the 5K/1K events. Global Running Day celebrates what makes running so special–camaraderie and friendship, endorphins and accomplishment, and the chance to challenge your personal limits. Join us for the Annual Atomic Two Miler August 16, 2025. This is a night run that will take place behind the levee across from Forsythe Park. Sleep late Saturday morning, and then come out for a two mile PR that night!  Medals will be awarded to overall male and female, masters male and female as well as top three in ten year age groups.

In-person registration is available during packet pick up on Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th. You can pick up your packets between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (location to be determined). Race day registration will be available on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the registration tent.

What began as a race in Olivia’s honor is becoming something bigger, a morning where our community comes together to run with purpose, remember with love, and celebrate a little life that continues to make a lasting impact. Olivia lived for 51 beautiful minutes, but the love she brought into this world didn’t end there. Get ready to run, scream, and celebrate downtown at the Fright Night 5K! The race will start and finish at Flying Tiger Brewery, taking runners through the heart of Downtown Monroe with plenty of spooky surprises along the way. From creepy characters to unexpected frights, you never know what you’ll encounter as you make your way through the course! Everyone is welcome! The Fright Night 5K is a family-friendly event, and you don’t have to be a runner to join the fun. Walkers are welcome, too! Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with the family, or just looking for a fun night downtown, there’s a place for you at Fright Night. After the race, keep the fun going with custom finisher medals, age group awards, a costume contest, and live music. Every registered runner will also receive a free drink from Flying Tiger Brewery to enjoy after crossing the finish line. Pecan Haven 5K is more than a race; it’s an opportunity to help individuals continue their recovery journey after treatment. At Pecan Haven, we provide residential substance abuse treatment for men and women seeking freedom from addiction. Through evidence-based counseling, group therapy, life skills development, recovery support, we help clients build a strong foundation for lasting sobriety. The funds raised through the Pecan Haven 5K will assist clients as they transition into sober living by helping meet immediate needs that promote long-term success. Your participation helps empower individuals to continue building healthy, productive lives in recovery, while spreading awareness that recovery is possible.

Join us for another great Monroe Jingle Bell Run 5K and Half-Marathon. With this event, we aim to encourage our community to embrace a more active lifestyle while also supporting our local Scouting programs. The race will begin and end in Forsythe Park. The Monroe Jingle Bell Run will raise funds to support local Scouts in Northeast & Central Louisiana including our programs for at-risk youth and scholarships to Camp T.L. James and Camp Attakapas. It will help ensure that EVERY youth has the opportunity to be part of a great organization that will develop our future leaders of tomorrow no matter what social background or economic status. Join the ULM College of Pharmacy for the Poor Man's Run on Saturday, February 27th - a 5K and 1-Mile Fun-Run benefiting a local charity pharmacy. The St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy is a nonprofit pharmacy that provides patients with medications they could not otherwise afford. All funds raised at the St. Vincent de Paul - Poor Man's Run go directly to the Monroe St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy! Ouachita Valley Road Runners will be timing the race and refreshments will be provided throughout the course. Runner packets can be picked up from ULM College of Pharmacy from 2-7pm on Friday, February 26th or between 7-8am the day of the race. The schedule of the event will proceed as follows: • 8am - 1-Mile Fun-Run • 8:30am - 5K • 10:00am - Awards Ceremony Sign up before February 12th, 2027 and a t-shirt will be included in the price of registration! Glory’s Garden Foundation is hosting the Glory 5K Walk/Run to rally Northeast Louisiana around families fighting through the NICU journey. In 2023 Glory Ann Strickland was born at 24 weeks and spent 308 days in the St. Francis and Childrens Hospital NICU. Her parents, family and friends understand no parent should face that lonely road alone. This event is more than a race; it’s a public show of love that raises critical support for medical expenses, travel, meals, and at home living expenses for NICU families. Our goal is to reach 1000 registrations so we could help 200 families. When our community shows up together, we don’t just raise funds we raise hope, dignity, and relief in the moments families need it most.
