Come join us for the 19th Annual Frank Baccus Easter 5K Run/Walk, which will be held at the Mt. Vernon Christian Church, located at 520 Mount Vernon Road, Monroe, GA 30655.  The start and finish are located on Mount Vernon Road.  This is a nice run along country roads.

Glory’s Garden Foundation is hosting the Glory 5K Walk/Run to rally Northeast Louisiana around families fighting through the NICU journey. In 2023 Glory Ann Strickland was born at 24 weeks and spent 308 days in the St. Francis and Childrens Hospital NICU. Her parents, family and friends understand no parent should face that lonely road alone. This event is more than a race; it’s a public show of love that raises critical support for medical expenses, travel, meals, and at home living expenses for NICU families. Our goal is to reach 1000 registrations so we could help 200 families. When our community shows up together, we don’t just raise funds we raise hope, dignity, and relief in the moments families need it most.

Kount Teens 2 Mentor Organization is a non-profit organization that provides programs for young boys and girls ages 12-18. For the past five years, we have hosted year-round events such as entrepreneurship workshops, leadership training, mental health community events, community outreach, health and wellness events. Our mission is to equip teens throughout Northeast Louisiana and surrounding areas to be productive and successful members of society.   On April 25, 2026, our organization will host our 4th Annual Lupus Awareness Kickoff Walk, Ride or Run. We would be honored if you would join us in making this event a success. Richwood, Louisiana— On April 25, 2026, Kount Teens 2 Mentor will be hosting “Community Lupus Awareness Walk.” which is a fundraiser event in support for Lupus Awareness Month. The “Walk A Mile In Our Shoes” will be a family fun-filled event with impactful information for all who attend. The event will kick off with a 2K walk or ride followed by live music and a guest survivor testimony. Our goal is to advocate awareness, show support, and bring recognition to the many lupus warriors in our community living with this mysterious disease.  Registration begins at 7:00 am. Back by popular demand! Union Academy High School Student Council and the Varsity Cross Country team are partnering up with the UA Foundation to put on UA’s first ever Cardinal Color Run. Our color run is a 5-kilometer race where participants are covered in colored powder while running, walking, or jogging. The powder is non-toxic, gluten-free, and safe for people and pets of all ages and it washes away easily. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color. Fifty percent of the proceeds and all donations will be donated to Victory Junction. The idea behind this race was to bring the community together, be outside and run/walk in memory of Kaci. Kaci herself never stopped! She was such a spirited girl that was constantly on the go trying to keep up with her older brothers and their friends. The Big Heart Big Smile Foundation was created in memory of Kaci Edelbrock, a six year old who passed away in 2018.  The Kaci 5K invites all families to run/walk with babies in strollers and dogs on leashes. Kaci would have wanted everyone to be included. All of the money raised for this event goes directly into programs such as, the Kaci Edelbrock Memorial Scholarship, Kaci’s Big Toy Giveaway, Kaci’s Backpack Project, Kaci’s Big Hugs, and Kaci’s Kindness Cards. Celebrating the 14th Annual Run for the Red, White & Blue 5K/1K!   The Run for the Red, White & Blue 5K/1K is held each Memorial Day weekend to support the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum. Sign up to honor our active service members and veterans, and to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.   The course is flat, fast, and well surfaced.  The race will begin and end at the Museum with participants passing thru the Flags of Freedom for the last quarter mile. Join us for the Newtown Savings Bank Mile Down the Pike, a one mile road race.  The route proceeds down Monroe Turnpike along the Monroe Memorial Day parade route AFTER the roads close, but before the parade begins.  A swift mile downhill, this event is on the same route as the Monroe Memorial Day parade.  Enjoy a quick mile race starting at Firemen's Field and ending at Elm Street and Cross Hill intersection.  Be cheered on as the crowds gather for the parade.  Don't miss this fun event!  You should be able to do a mile in 15 minutes or less to sign up for this race.  THIS IS A TIMED ROAD RACE. Global Running Day celebrates what makes running so special–camaraderie and friendship, endorphins and accomplishment, and the chance to challenge your personal limits. Holly's Heart and Sole Run is a race in memory of our beloved Holly Rose, daughter, sister, mother, friend, who lost her battle with breast cancer in July of 2016 at the age of 33.  She left behind her family and friends, including her young son, who all miss her and her smile, energy and contagious laugh every day.  This race is organized to honor her memory and raise money for scholarships for graduates of Monroe High School who are pursuing degrees in Education, Music or Spanish.

The17th annual USAT Sanctioned race at Lake Tye Park in Monroe. This race is great for the beginner to the elite and just may be the flattest and fastest course in the Pacific Northwest.  Distances include Sprint, Olympic and Youth.  We have also  a Duathlon and Aquabike.   Finisher medals, give always, post race food and awards for top finishers.

Join us for the Annual Atomic Two Miler August 16, 2025. This is a night run that will take place behind the levee across from Forsythe Park. Sleep late Saturday morning, and then come out for a two mile PR that night!  Medals will be awarded to overall male and female, masters male and female as well as top three in ten year age groups.

Enjoy our annual 5K by walking or running the course — and don’t forget to show off your best fall foliage attire! Dress in your favorite autumn colors, woodland animal looks, or any fun costume that celebrates the season. The kids can join in the excitement with the Kids Color Dash, sprinting to the finish line while getting splashed with vibrant colors! It’s a day full of energy, laughter, and family fun. As the grand finale of the Race Series, this event is the perfect way to wrap up a season of community, accomplishment, and celebration!

Join us at Forsythe Park, 2300 Sycamore Street, Monroe, LA 71201 for the 2nd annual MAD Dash 5k & One-Mile Fun Run!  Online registration will close on September 20, 2026, at 11:59pm. In-person registration is available during packet pick up on Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th. You can pick up your packets between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (location to be determined). Race day registration will be available on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the registration tent.

Harley’s Hustle is an annual event in memory of our daughter, Harley McKenna, who passed away at 40 weeks and 1 day and was delivered stillborn on June 26th, 2018. We were blessed with the comfort and warmth of a community, professionals, and friends that gave us support through our grief. The stories are many and joyous. Nurses, doctors, funeral directors, community leaders, pastors, and more made such a positive impact. In an effort for us to pay it forward, add to Harley’s legacy, and work to see that we can spread awareness of the commonality of this event, Harley’s Hustle began.

Sean was the finest example of a student-athlete, friend, and teammate. In conjunction with the Dave Bork Classic, our annual Open / Alumni race is named in his honor. Please consider attending this year's event. We continue to offer a 1 mile walk / run to encourage non-runners to take part. Join us for another great Monroe Jingle Bell Run 5K and Half-Marathon. With this event, we aim to encourage our community to embrace a more active lifestyle while also supporting our local Scouting programs. The race will begin and end in Forsythe Park. The Monroe Jingle Bell Run will raise funds to support local Scouts in Northeast & Central Louisiana including our programs for at-risk youth and scholarships to Camp T.L. James and Camp Attakapas. It will help ensure that EVERY youth has the opportunity to be part of a great organization that will develop our future leaders of tomorrow no matter what social background or economic status.
