"All proceeds to benefit Phillip's Cottage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides transitional housing to women with children who have graduated from Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge. Funding is used to support the mothers and children who call Phillip's Cottage home, to maintain the house and property,  and to cover operational expenses throughout the year."     Date & Time:  Saturday, April 25, 2026.  Race will begin and end at Phillip’s Cottage located at 217 W. Union St. Minden, LA. 5k will start at 8:15 am. Fun Run will start at 8:00 am.     Registration:  $25 registration fee (t-shirt included) until April 7, 2026. 2nd Annual Kisatchie Crusher is now a weekend experience in Minden, LA! Gravel Race & 5k/10k on Saturday Sept 12th. Road Fondo & MTB Race on Sunday Sept 13th. Camping or group lodging onsite is encouraged! Onsite RV campsites with all the hookups are available at www.recreation.gov $33 a night, search Beaver Dam Kisatchie. www.CampCaney.com has bunkbed style cabins that sleep 10 for $125 a night. Kitchen in another building. Race is at Day Use Area with plenty of shade, amphitheater, picnic tables, AC power, restrooms, sandy beach & lake swimming. Run Caney is back again!  This will be a 5K, 6 mile and 12 mile loop run around beautiful Upper Caney Lake near Minden, Louisiana.  The run, set in the slight hills and oak flats of the Kisatchie National Forest; is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature at its finest.   It's not too hilly, not too rocky, and not too root laden.   It's just right! Goldilocks would love it!   This is an "Old School Style" trail run.   It's a perfect first timer's race!    THERE IS NO NEED TO PAY THE $5 USAGE FEE. I'VE COVERED IT THIS YEAR BY SECURING THE DAY USE AREA. Overall male and female winner in each race will get an award of some type.  Age group winner will receive a home-made ornament of some type.
