"All proceeds to benefit Phillip's Cottage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides transitional housing to women with children who have graduated from Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge. Funding is used to support the mothers and children who call Phillip's Cottage home, to maintain the house and property,  and to cover operational expenses throughout the year."     Date & Time:  Saturday, April 25, 2026.  Race will begin and end at Phillip’s Cottage located at 217 W. Union St. Minden, LA. 5k will start at 8:15 am. Fun Run will start at 8:00 am.     Registration:  $25 registration fee (t-shirt included) until April 7, 2026. Join us for the 9th Carson Valley Turkey Trot. This fun run takes place in the beautiful Carson Valley, starting at Minden Park in downtown Minden. Trot through this picturesque downtown neighborhood as a fun way to start the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition to the in-person fun run on Thanksgiving morning, children 12 and under can participate in the Turkey Dash or skip the in-person events altogether- and opt for the virtual race to run on your own schedule.   If race is full, same day registration will be available.  T-shirt and swag bag as available.

Run Caney is back again!  This will be a 5K, 6 mile and 12 mile loop run around beautiful Upper Caney Lake near Minden, Louisiana.  The run, set in the slight hills and oak flats of the Kisatchie National Forest; is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature at its finest.   It's not too hilly, not too rocky, and not too root laden.   It's just right! Goldilocks would love it!   This is an "Old School Style" trail run.   It's a perfect first timer's race!    THERE IS NO NEED TO PAY THE $5 USAGE FEE. I'VE COVERED IT THIS YEAR BY SECURING THE DAY USE AREA. Overall male and female winner in each race will get an award of some type.  Age group winner will receive a home-made ornament of some type.
