Prove It 5K & 10K – GM Milford Proving Ground April 18, 2026 – Milford, Michigan Looking for a Michigan spring 5K or 10K that’s unlike anything else? Prove It 5K & 10K gives you exclusive access to the GM Milford Proving Ground, one of the most iconic and secretive automotive testing facilities in the world. Normally closed to the public, this track opens just one day each year for runners and walkers to take on its twists, hills, and high-performance curves. This isn’t your typical local race. The 5K packs 225′ of elevation gain in one lap of the course. The 10K doubles the challenge with two laps and 450′ of gain. Both races are USATF-certified, making them perfect for testing your speed and endurance. Want more? Dravet Syndrome Foundation’s 4th Annual Steps Toward a Cure: Michigan 5k run, fun run, and family walk! Invite your friends and family to join Steps Toward a Cure to help raise awareness and funds for our important research and patient advocacy programs. There will be a 5k, kids fun run, and a family walk to follow.  Kid friendly activities will be available at the picnic area along with a silent auction! Bagels and coffee in the morning and a lunch is to be offered as well!   All children with Dravet syndrome or epilepsy can register for free with a registered adult. Dravet Syndrome Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to aggressively raising research funds for Dravet syndrome and related conditions. Come for the race, stay for the parade! Saturday, November 29th, 20241-mile starts at 8:00am4-mile starts at 8:30am (must be off the course by 9:45am for the parade)Double (you can run both events!) Run/walk the 1 mile, the 4 mile, or both races with the double! The 4 mile course will wind out through downtown Milford, onto the beautiful Milford Trail and finish back on Main Street. Both the races start and finish on Main Street at the corner of Commerce road in downtown Milford as hundreds of spectators await the Annual Holiday Parade. The parade after the race will feature dozens of floats, bands, and of course, Santa Claus! All participants will receive a custom race hoodie and a finisher medal.  Bonus: Sign up 4 or more people at once and save $5 per person on the registration - applied automatically at checkout.
