November Project Madison will host the 5th edition of the only half marathon race held entirely on Bascom Hill on Saturday, October 31st at 8am. That's 40 laps around a 1/3-mile oval-shaped sidewalk (approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain). There are solo and team divisions, and costumes are highly encouraged. Registration for this untimed race is free. The top-of-the-hill aid station will offer water, snacks, and moral support. All solo finishers will receive a vintage November Project Madison buff of their choice.

USATF-certified 5K race and fun run benefiting students with special learning needs. This race is put on by the Knights of Columbus Council 10232 and Council 17519 of Madison. 100% of the proceeds goes to Madison City Schools. This is part of a nationwide campaign put on by the Knights of Columbus.   Since we support the whole of Madison City Schools, the race begins and ends at the Madison City Stadium next to the Madison City Schools admin building and runs through downtown Madison. A big shout out to the city of Madison for allowing this, and to the Madison Police Department for supporting the race. MADISON STATION HALF MARATHON 10K RUN, 5K RUN & 5K WALK Join us for the fifteh annual Madison Station Half Marathon! We will start under the arch located in Madison's historic downtown area and finish at the famous red caboose. Contributions from this event will be made to local charities to include Webster Animal Shelter and Madison Cultural Art Center. Please register early online to save on registration fees. The fees for registering at Packet Pickup will increase by $10.00. There will be no race day registrations. REGISTER SOON.... SHIRTS AND FINISHER MEDALS ARE LIMITED. The Half Marathon is Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) State Championship for Mississippi for 2026. The 48th annual Lenny & Joe's Madison Turkey Trot, organized and run by the Madison Jaycees, will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026 at 10 am! Once again, the 5 mile race and 2 mile walk are in the heart of Madison, CT. Starting and ending on the historic Madison Town Green, both the run and walk courses feature scenic views of Long Island Sound and some of Madison's most picturesque shoreline neighborhoods. For a course map, please visit www.madisonjc.com. Again this year....ONLINE registration is open until the start of race! Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,500 pre-registered runners and walkers. Participants will also enjoy a festive post-race party and refreshments. Separate run and walk courses. The 5-mile run is USATF Course Certified and uses RFID chips. Prizes for the run will be awarded to the top 3 overall finishers, male and female, based on official start time. Prizes will be awarded to each of the following age groups, male and female, based on chip time: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69...100+, as appropriate. Cancer is a deeply personal journey, and for our family, it became real the day our daughter, Syd, was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 20 years old. Nothing prepares you for that moment. Nothing prepares you for the surgeries, the radiation, the chemotherapy, or what comes next. But from the very beginning, we were carried — by God, by prayer, and by the people He placed around us. We were led to UW–Madison’s Carbone Cancer Center, nationally recognized for their cutting‑edge technology and groundbreaking research. We were surrounded by some of the most gifted physicians in the country: Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Howard, Dr. Bhatia, and their incredible teams. They are extraordinary humans — compassionate, brilliant, and unwavering in their mission. They used their God‑given gifts to guide Syd through two brain surgeries (one awake), 18 full-brain radiation treatments (this is not a standard of care/protocol), and a full year of chemotherapy. No part of the journey was easy, but we were never alone. There were prayers said over hospital beds, songs that became anchors on the hardest days, encouraging words from people who showed up at just the right moment, and a peace that didn’t make sense except that it came from God. Our story could have been so different. We know that and there isn’t a single day when we take that for granted. We are profoundly grateful for the grace that carried us, the hands that healed. Believing in Breakthrough The researchers at UW–Madison are working tirelessly to discover the breakthrough that will finally tame this disease. We believe they are close and the answer could be discovered right here, in our own backyard. We believe God is working through these brilliant minds to bring healing to families like ours. There are currently a couple promising studies in progress — including research on vaccine‑based therapies that could slow or even fight brain cancer. This work is bold, innovative, and full of hope. Since 2007 this race has encompassed a beloved local loop known as the Arb Loop. This is a 10K loop that includes the beautiful landscape of the UW- Madison Arboretum. Once again MadCity will host the 100K solo, 50K Solo, along with the 100K Relay, and 50K Relay. 2026 will be the home of the 100K National Championships.

The 18th Annual Midwest Financial Group Madison Mini Marathon is an exciting and scenic running event that showcases the best of Madison.
