This is a 10K/5K/1M, traversing Kellogg-Zaher Park, the Bonanza Trail, and Bill Briare Park, right here in Las Vegas, just 20 minutes from the Strip! This park is located in the northwest part of town with gorgeous views of the Red Rock Mountains! This is a great race for walkers and runners alike, and strollers are welcome. Bring your friends, family, and/or running group! The race begins at 4pm so there is plenty of time afterward to get ready for the rest of your nighttime festivities! Competitive spirits can go all out for awards, with the top three men and women recognized in the usual five-year age groups. Beyond the miles, Friday the 13K is proud to support Ava’s Avengers, the event’s charity partner. Ava’s Avengers seeks to decrease the socioeconomic burdens placed on families by building support networks dedicated to furthering disease education, raising hope, and increasing human resilience—reminding everyone of the hero within themselves. Whether Boston is your goal or not, the Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon is for you. We are racing at Sunset Park and the course features a 1-mile, super flat and super fast loop, making it ideal for consistent pacing and record-setting performances. The Full Marathon is USATF certified, making it a Boston Qualifier. This event is uniquely designed for serious runners. We will have water and an electrolyte drink at the aid table. Participants are welcome to bring their own personalized aid to place on the aid tables, allowing you to grab exactly what you need each time you pass. Many runners even bring a cheer crew to help hand out fuel and keep the motivation high throughout the race. To maintain the best possible experience, this is intentionally a small, focused event, capped at just 75 participants. We will have a great race shirt and finisher medals for all participants.
