RUNPLUGGED - Weekly Coached Track Workouts

What: Weekly Coached Track Workouts Where: Kentridge High School Track, Kent WA When: Wednesdays 6-7am, January 7-March 18th.  Cost: $10 per session, or discounted if you buy the season pass Why run alone in the dark? Beat the Seattle Freeze with a crew that’s present & connected for weekly, coached track workouts every Wednesday. The winter season runs from 1/7/2026 through 3/18/2026. We will then take a week break before resuming for the spring and summer seasons!  These track workouts are "Old School Style" - leave your headphones at home for an "unplugged" run experience to build a strong sense of community!  All people & paces welcome - whether you're a former track star or someone looking for a safe place to run or walk as the days get darker, we have a place for you! Run The Green

Weather Update! Due to the snow storm the race is delayed 2 hours.  The half marathon will start at 10:30am and the 10K at 10:45am. Join us on March 14, 2026 for Run the Green!  The half marathon and 10K courses are out and backs on the Green River Trail, and along the way you'll enjoy scenery of the river and golf course.  Flat and fast you won't want to miss this race.  All participants receive a commemorative shirt, medal, free photo downloads, and post race hot soup!

Open Water Wednesdays

Open Water Wednesdays at Lake Meridian Park Kent, WA  6:30-7:30PM June 3 - September 9, 2026  Meet at the Picnic tables on the west side of the Lake Meridian boat launch parking lot. Special edition: Open Water Wednesdays at Lake Tapps - Allan York Park on August 26th - 6:30-7:30PM (No swims 6/24 or 8/12)   Open Water Wednesdays (OWW) are one of the coolest traditions in the PNW triathlon community—coached open water swim workouts held at Lake Meridian Park in Kent, WA since 2006! Each session features a 300-yard buoy loop where you'll swim with others at your pace. A coach in a kayak leads the workout from the start buoy, guiding you through an open water-style interval session—think pool training meets real-world swim skills. On some nights, a second coach paddles near shore to work with newer swimmers. Lake Meridian Triathlon

Welcome to this Pacific Northwest Favorite Triathlon. Lake Meridian includes Olympic, Sprint, and Super Sprint individual events and a Sprint & Olympic Relay for teams of 2 or 3.  All athletes will receive a free T-shirt (if you register on or before August 1st) & finisher medal.  Stick around after your race and enjoy a meal,  the finish line celebration and awards ceremony,  Pint glasses are given to the top 5 finishers of each age group in the Sprint & Olympic - top 3 in the Super Sprint.  Lake Meridian Park is a beautiful, spectator friendly venue. Fins are allowed in the 500-yard FIN and 1 mile FIN events. Fins must be no longer than 12" and no mono fins allowed. Pull buoys, snorkels, mp3 players are examples of items that are not allowed. 10 and unders MUST swim the 500 yards 10 - 12 year olds that want to swim the mile need to submit the name of their coach and swim club as well as submit records (proof) they have swum a 500 in a USA swim meet in a time of 7:30 or faster including the name of the meet and date. Christmas Rush

The Christmas Rush will celebrate 44 years on December 12. The race features a 5k run/walk and a 10k run. along the scenic green river. NEW 10k Course! The 10k will start on the west side of the Green River, will cross over and finish on the east side. Both the 5k and 10k will finish in the same location. (Map coming soon) Participants age 13 and under are FREE courtesy of Taylor Farms! Awards will be given to top five winners in each age group following the race.
