The Armourdale Renewal Association (ARA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Armourdale neighborhood in Kansas City, Kansas. Through youth programs, community development, and local initiatives, ARA works to create a more connected, supported, and vibrant community for residents and families. The Armourdale Community Run & Walk is a chance to be part of that impact. This event brings together runners, walkers, families, and local businesses for a morning that supports the community while creating a fun and welcoming experience for everyone involved. Last year’s event was just the beginning, and 2026 is focused on growing participation and building something even bigger for Armourdale. You will not want to miss being part of it. This year's Brew to Boo is going to be a slight adjustment compared to previous years. Rather than running nearly a marathon from South Kansas City to North Kansas City, we're going to stay near the Kansas City Downtown and there will be two participation options as well! The first option is a Pub Crawl in the Crossroads. We'll start at Torn Label and make our way west from brewery to brewery until we end up at Casual Animal. By utilizing this format, my hope is to keep a good size group together and make it much easier for people to join up later in the day if need be. The second option is the actual running portion of Brew to Boo. While the Pub Crawl is happening, runners will shoot off to another brewery outside of the Crossroads, grab a drink, and run back. There are 5 legs to this including Boulevard, Strange Days, Alma Mader, Stockyard, and Vine Street. Don't miss out on this new weekend long series of endurance events!  The Yeti Endurance Weekend features a 5K and 10K on Saturday and a half marathon and marathon on Sunday, all at Longview Lake!  Run one event on either Saturday or Sunday or run on both days! The Fox Trot 5K Run is a fundraising event to benefit Académie Lafayette International High School's travel abroad programs. ALIHS believes firmly in the value of global intercultural learning experiences and is committed to equity in education. Cost of travel is the greatest inhibiting factor for public schools in providing such invaluable outside-the-classroom life experiences for all students, regardless of individual family means. The name NOLAN means "champion" and the 2nd annual Nolan Davidson Champion's Run was established to celebrate Nolan Davidson and the spirit of competition and determination in which he lived his life. On December 7th 2023, Nolan tragically passed away from injuries sustained from a drunk driving accident. Nolan's love for sports and compassion for others left a lasting impact on his school community and the Kansas City youth soccer community. With last year's race proceeds, the Nolan Davidson Foundation was able to donate $30,000 to KC Fusion Soccer Club for youth scholarships, fully fund the Foundry Church’s Club 45 youth group nights for fourth and fifth graders, and donate over 1,000 toys to Children’s Mercy Hospital. We look forward to continuing our support this year to these programs as well as providing four KC metro high school cross country runners each a $1,000 scholarship. Westport Santa Dash 5k begins at 10am on December 14, 2024! Fill the streets with holiday cheer as hundreds of Santas run through the streets of Kansas City.  Every participant will receive a long-sleeve race shirt or a Santa suit, a finisher medal (ornament), and holiday treats! Who doesn’t like hot chocolate?
