24th Annual Family Service & Children’s Aid 5K RUN and WALK. Same location as previous years - Middle School at Parkside. The course will take place on the Falling Water Trail. Overall Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers of Open (all ages), and Grand Masters (50+), in the 5k Run, and 5k Walk. What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! Join us for our 9th annual 5k run/walk at Cascades Falls Park! The park is located at 1401 S Brown St, Jackson, MI 49203. Paws in the Park is one of Cascades Humane Society’s largest fundraisers of the year. All donations and registration fees go straight to the animals in our care.  Paws in the Park 2026 will be on Saturday, May 30, 2026 and features a beautiful 5k run/walk around Cascades Falls Park.  Leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate in the event.  Prefer a short distance or a casual troll?  Join us for our 1 Mile Woof Walk!  Each 5k participant will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal.  Each Woof Walk participant will receive a t-shirt. The Mighty Mile is for kids only ages 5 to 14 years old. The race is part of the Michigan Running Foundation Mighty Mile series put on at several locations in Michigan in an effort to encourage our children to run and stay active. This race is located at the Parkside Middle School Track on Thursday evening, June 4th. We hope to have a fun and challenging event for all the kids to get their summer off to a running and healthy start!   Calling all Elementary and Middle School students: Finish up your school year with a challenging and fun mile and get your Summer off to an active healthy start!   All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile. The race will be held on Sunday, August 23rd at 9 a.m. with a SOMI athlete/Kids Fun Run to follow.
