The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.  We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The post race party will be hopping with dozens of vendors and live music! Average Temperatures for this time of year are 44F for the low and 67F for the high.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are an oasis of cultural significance, both past and present, and are leading sources for black graduates. However, the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are still lacking proper representation of minority groups, including women. The HBCU STEM Education Run (STEMER) is a virtual run that strives to raise funds and awareness through fitness. Each year, funds are dedicated to an HBCU. The Peyton Irwin Foundation is having its 5th annual run/walk....a great race for an even greater cause!!   Peyton loved pineapples, therefore leading us to name this run the Pineapple Run.   Join us as we bring awareness to the dangers of distracted driving. Returning for the 6th year is the Salmon Run 5K! Join us in honoring the memory of Paul "Fish" Salmon, a beloved brother and leader in the Theta Pi chapter of ATO at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Paul was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006 and underwent treatment at the Clearview Cancer Institute (CCI). Welcome to the Annual David McKannan Memorial Run This run is held in memory of David, an avid runner, loving father, husband and brother who lost his battle with ALS in 2012. Capstone Cares 5K is a certified, easy-to-navigate race through beautiful Cummings Research Park. Caribbean Qarnival Mental Health Awareness 5K & Mental Health Fair   Join us Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Big Spring Park in Downtown Huntsville, AL for a vibrant morning of movement, music, and mental wellness!  The 5K race kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by a 1-Mile Fun Run at 9:00 AM. Registration Opens February 1st Huntsville’s first 24-hour running event will be held at Milton Frank Stadium. In traditional 24-hour format, participants may run continuously or take breaks as needed throughout the event. Runners are welcome to rest, refuel, socialize, or compete without stopping. In addition to the 24-hour event, race options will include a 6-hour, 12-hour, Marathon, 50K, and 50-mile race. The goal of this event is to provide an inclusive environment where runners of all abilities can come together to run fast, run slow, and run long. Aid stations will be available for all participants; however, runners are encouraged to bring their preferred nutrition and supplies. Personal tents and setups are welcome for those planning to stay for extended periods. The event will be chip timed. The Rocket City Runners Official 5K  Come enjoy a wonderful morning with the Rocket City Runners Run Club as we walk, jog, and run together. All levels are welcome whether you’re walking, jogging, or running, this is the perfect race to join! The Team Rocket Tri Club and Piedmont Recreation Association invite you to the 12th annual Pesky Piranha youth triathlon. The distances are accessible to both beginners doing something new and to experienced youth athletes who want to go as fast as they can! Presented by the Griffin Leukemia Foundation, Inc., this event raises awareness for leukemia and other cancers while supporting programs that help cancer survivors rebuild strength, confidence, and purpose after treatment. Pulse Walk is a different kind of competition. It includes a non-competitive, inclusive walk designed for all ages and abilities. This is not a timed race. “Racin’ the Station” Duathlon is a non-sanctioned USAT Run/Bike/Run event where theparticipants will “race” the International Space Station (ISS) as it completes one Earthorbit—91 minutes & 12 seconds. Marshall Space Flight Center will track the startinglocation of the ISS at the race start time and see who “beats” the Space Station bycompleting the event before the 91-minute & 12-second mark. Merrimack's Rocket City Microthon is a family-friendly fundraising event spoofing a traditional road race. The "race" is across the 383 feet (0.12k) of the Butler Green at Campus 805 in downtown Huntsville. Welcome to the Fleet Feet Sports Monte Sano 15Kan HTC event The course begins at the Monte Sano United Methodist Church and runs on the adjoining neighborhood streets. 2026 Huntsville Half Marathon Join us for the 48th Annual Huntsville Half Marathon, sponsored by Fleet Feet Huntsville/Madison and presented by the Huntsville Track Club! The race starts at 8 a.m., Nov. 14, at Hillwood Baptist Church, 300 Kohler Road, Huntsville, AL. This flat and fast course through South Huntsville is perfect for first-time half marathoners, PR attempts, and as training for the Rocket City Marathon.   Aid stations with water, powerade, Gu, bananas and porta-potties will be provided every 2 miles. We're also planning entertainment along the course!   Parking at the church is limited; carpooling is encouraged.
