Turkey March 5K Lace up your running shoes and get ready to march before you feast! Join us the weekend before Thanksgiving for the Turkey March 5K, a fun, family-friendly run and walk benefiting the Harrisburg Band Program. Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with friends and family, or just waddling your way to the finish line, everyone is welcome. The Turkey March combines two of our favorite things, Thanksgiving and marching band into one festive community event. Expect plenty of fall fun, music, and turkey-themed spirit as we kick off the holiday season together. Run. Walk. Waddle. However you cross the finish line, your participation helps support opportunities and experiences for Harrisburg Band students. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. Welcome to the 2026 Santa Shuffle! Join the jolliest 5K with hundreds of fellow Santas! Please note there is no Race Day Registration and we do expect to sell out. Participants will receive a full Santa suit or a Santa shirt. Back by popular demand, all Santa Shuffle finishers will receive an ornament to celebrate your achievement! The race starts at 9:00 a.m. at the carousel on city island. Race packet pickup will be: Fleet Feet Mechanicsburg: December 11 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fleet Feet Harrisburg: December 12 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Packets will also be available on race morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. but we do not recommend this unless absolutely necessary. The Heartbeat 5K helps support music programs in Harrisburg Schools, providing instruments, opportunities, and experiences for student musicians. Every step you take helps ensure that music continues to be the heartbeat of our schools and community. After the race, stick around for post-race festivities, community vendors, and refreshments at the Harrisburg Spring Vendor Event at the Harrisburg Lion’s Club. Come get your heart racing and help keep the beat alive in Harrisburg!
