The 2026 Lucky Charm 4 miler will open the race season with an exciting run through the capital city on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The race begins at 12 p.m. (noon). The starting line is the square of Harrisburg on 2nd Street. At Lucky Charm Races EVERYONE is a winner. Pets allowed Eckley Miners’ Village Weatherly, PA The main street of Eckley is roughly a mile long, and it's free to walk through the village during the daylight hours all year long. However, visitors should be aware that this road is largely unpaved. People do live here, it is a living museum with residents in the homes. Pets allowed Graeme Park Horsham, PA 42-acre historic park. Free to visit the grounds of Graeme Park which are open daily during daylight hours. Open areas, stream, pond, and trails through the woods PA Lumber Museum Ulysses, PA Offers several free hiking trails with the museum as the starting point. The museum has created two self-guided lumber history hiking brochures to encourage folks to lace up their hiking boots and explore the surrounding forests. Pets Allowed PA Military Museum Boalsburg, PA The Pennsylvania Military Museum will undergo a $3.4 million Capital Projects Fund renovation to improve the space for visitors and collections. During the modernization project, the museum will temporarily be closed. However, the museum grounds are still fully accessible to the public. It is a paved ½ mile path. Washington Crossing Historic Park Washington Crossing, PA The 60-mile long Delaware Canal State Park towpath runs from Easton to Bristol with a five-mile section that connects the lower and upper portions of Washington Crossing Historic Park. The towpath is part of the D&L Trail, the foundation of the 165-mile Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Once trod by mule teams pulling cargo-laden boats along the canal, the towpath is used today by walkers, joggers, bicyclists, cross-country skiers, and bird watchers. It can be accessed from Washington Crossing Historic Park at SR 532 in the lower section or at the Thompson-Neely House of the upper section.

HALA Hustle is a 5K Walk event to raise money and bring awareness for the work of The Harrisburg Area Learning Academy, Inc. Participants can choose to create or join a team to raise money for the 5K walk or they can sign up as an individual walker. This event will be held at City Island-Riverfront Park on Saturday September 12th registration is from 8:30AM - 9:30 AM. The walk will start at 9:00AM and end at 11:00AM. HALA, Inc is a clinical/ educational trauma informed and trauma trained organization working with other community agencies to equip at- risk children with the necessary behavioral and mental health tools to thrive and succeed in home, school and community environments. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Peace Promise is a Harrisburg-based nonprofit that addresses the complexities of sex trafficking in the Harrisburg region by offering outreach & intervention, support & training, education & awareness, and economic empowerment for those who have experienced the weight of sexual exploitation. We partner with survivors in their healing process to provide for practical needs like housing and employment while also addressing emotional support and life skills training to equip survivors to thrive in their journey to freedom. We partner with area organizations, law enforcement agencies, mental healthcare professionals, in addition to a dedicated community of volunteers, financial partners, and our trained and trauma-informed staff to ensure wholistic care of our survivors.

Please join us for our 4th Annual St. Francis of Assisi 5K! This is an opportunity for you to get some exercise, have fun and help local shelter animals. Pets are more than welcome, they are encouraged! A photo area will be setup for you to capture memories with your friends, family and pets. Free refreshments for both you and your pet will be available before and after the race. We will be raffling off different gift baskets during the event. Saline Co. will also have foster dogs that are available for adoption. We will offer a map of the race coarse and the race path will be clearly marked for the participants. All proceeds will be given to Friends of Saline County Animals. Other donations such as dog food, cat food, liter, pet toys or anything pet related will also go to the organization just bring your donations to the race with you! The top 3 winners from each age group will receive a medal. Age groups will be divided into 5 different sections. Ages 5-19, 20-34, 35-50, and 51-65 and 66+. T-shirts are included in the registration price when you register for the race before October 5th. We hope to see you there!

Join the Alliance for the 3rd Annual Gettysburg Loop Tour, a six-day, 200+ mile journey through south-central Pennsylvania, with a two-day stop in the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, via the 9/11 National Memorial Trail.   A significant highlight of the tour includes a stay in Gettysburg on Saturday and Sunday, October 24th and 25th (Days 3 & 4), where participants will have a variety of routes and rides to choose from, showcasing the Gettysburg Battlefield and other local attractions.   Beginning in Harrisburg, PA, on October 21, the cycling tour will move southwest following the 9/11 Trail alignment's loop to Gettysburg before ultimately ending back in Harrisburg on October 27. THIS RACE IS CANCELLED FOR 2026 The Susquehanna Township Alumni Association partnered with some of the STSD students are holding our breast cancer walk/run. Proceeds from this event benefit the Susquehanna Township Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign which in turn aids the Vickies Angle Foundation and the Pink Hands of Hope organizations. Both are organizations that help aid local families who are battling cancer. We are happy to bring back our 5k as one of our fundraisers for the campaign. Each runner will receive a white T-shirt with black lettering and a goody bag full of items donated by our sponsors. You will be Guaranteed a shirt and bag if registered on or before 9/26. If you wish to participate in the run but do not wish to get color thrown at you, We kindly ask that you wear a Pink Shirt the day of the event to participate in. We will have our volunteers do our best to avoid throwing color in your direction but cannot make any promises you will be completely color free. Kids under the age of 5 years old will be free of charge but will not receive a Shirt or Runners Bag. Everyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to the event. Please look to join us on to get some fresh air, get some color on you, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race.
