The City of Gulf Shores is excited to announce the return of the Annual Haunted Hustle to Gulf Place Town Green, located at 101 Gulf Shores Parkway. Locals and visitors are invited to wear their best Halloween costumes and participate in this horrifyingly fun event. This event will feature a 5K walk/run, a fun run on the sand with monsters along the route, a costume parade and so much more. Proceeds for this event will go to the Dolphin Foundation for Education and Arts, who will also be selling beer and food on site.

What began as the dream of one remarkable Mermaid Sister has grown into a meaningful tradition with a morning filled with hope, phriendship, and giving back. This event brings together runners, walkers, bralunteers, breast cancer patients and survivors, sponsors, and supporters who believe in making a difference. Every registration helps provide hope, meaningful assistance, and lasting support to breast cancer patients throughout Gulf Shores, surrounding communities, and eligible Parrot Head members in good standing nationwide. You are invited to join us for Big Beach Marathon in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama the weekend of January 30th & 31st, 2027.  The courses are scenic, flat, and FAST, running on the fully paved trails through the Gulf State Park. Our course is also a USATF Certified Boston Qualifier for those who are hoping to score a coveted Boston qualifying time (and potentially snag a spot at the world major). The marathon and half marathon take place Sunday, with the start and finish located beach side at The Hangout. Enjoy stunning views of the Gulf Shores beaches, a gorgeous backdrop for your race weekend! And a celebration that brings runners back year after year. Time to book your Runcation and punch your ticket to the Boston Marathon! The We Run This Beach Marathon will be a beautiful , fast and scenic course with gorgeous views of Lake Shelby, Middle & Little Lake’s. The course will start and finish near the Gulf State Park Lodge and traverse the pancake flat paved paths throughout Gulf State Park. The post race party will have post race food for all finishers and post-race music, all on the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores AL. We believe in training hard, racing hard and celebrating hard and this race will be no different!

Join us for the 10th Annual Bloody Mary 5K Run and Walk at Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores on Saturday, August 30th at 7:30 am. This annual event is on flat and fast city streets.  If you want to earn a PR or just have fun, THIS is the Labor Day weekend event you want to do. This race is the final race in the Run the Coast Summer series. There are cash prizes for the top 3 male and female runners in the series, based on the points system over the 3 races. Labor Day weekend also kicks off football season and a race tradition is showing your team spirit. We will have our traditional Team Spirit Awards, so wear your team colors and be eligible for prizes.
