Run for Missions 2026

Franklin, TN
This is the TENTH year of the revived Franklin FUMC Run for Missions. If you've been around Franklin for decades, you may remember our church's run back in the 1990s. Since then, our church has moved our main campus to Mack Hatcher and Franklin Road with enough land for an entire 5K race on the church property. Come ready for a fun afternoon of running or walking around our more than 100 acres, music by the Grateful Bluegrass Band, and homemade baked goods for prizes!  The missions committee at FUMC helps determine where the proceeds of the race will go according to current needs each year. I'll update the website as soon as we make the choice for this year! Previous year projects have included wonderful organizations like The Giving Garden, ACD Guatemala, Meals On Wheels, Daughters of the King, and Room in the Inn.

Boots of Honor Memorial

Franklin, TN
7,470 Boots. One Unbroken Promise For the first time since 2012, this hallowed memorial leaves the gates of military restricted areas to stand in the heart of Tennessee. Walk among the stories of our fallen. Speak their names. Ensure their light never fades. THE MISSION:  The Weight of the Rows: Behind every one of these 7,470 combat boots is a story—a life cut short, a family changed forever, and a legacy of service. For years, this powerful display was held within the confines of military installations. Now, Memories of Honor is bringing this sea of reflection to the public. This isn't just a display; it is a visual representation of the cost of freedom. Arranged in chronological order, these boots represent our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who have made the ultimate sacrifice since 2001.   Why We Invite You: We don't just want you to see the boots—we want you to witness the names. By registering your visit or contributing to the memorial, you aren't just a spec

Live Like Jack 5k for Clubfoot

Franklin, TN
Lace up those running shoes and dust off your boogie shoes for the 2nd annual Live Like Jack 5K and 1Mile Kids run followed by a post race dance party and arm wrestling competition.  Why are we doing this? Our son, Jack was born with a birth defect called bilateral clubfoot which, if left untreated, can impair a child's ability to run, jump and play. Jack also has arthrogryposis and limb differences, which effect his upper extremities and joints. Through our journey we realized that treatment for these conditions can be costly so we are raising funds to assist families with the cost of care associated with treatments, travel, therapies and adaptive equipment.    All funds raised through the Live Like Jack 5k will benefit awareness, research, treatment and management of clubfoot and other musculoskeletal conditions and limb differences. We also donate and support adaptive athletes and those with limb differences and musculoskeletal conditions in activities of sport and fitness.Last y
