This is a FUN-draiser for The Community Care Clinic of Franklin. A non-profit clinic that serves the uninsured and low-income of Macon and surrounding counties. We welcome you to the heart of the Appalachian Mountains for the inaugural Holler Haunt 5K! Starting and finishing along the charming little Tennessee River Greenway, this scenic race showcases the beauty of our mountain community. With primarily flat terrain and well maintained walkways, runners and walkers of all levels and ages can enjoy a smooth, flat course surrounded by beautiful scenery. Perfect for families - parents and kids can enjoy fun trick-or-treat aid stations along the course. Costumes encouraged! Please join us on Saturday, November 14th at 9:00am as we honor Fury, our Franklin K-9 who was killed in the line of duty 3 years ago. All net proceeds raised from the Fury 5K will be used to support the City of Franklin Division of Police K-9 Fund. Registrations received through October 25 will include a commemorative T-Shirt. Registration will remain open right up to the start of the race, but shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by October 25. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category: Overall Men & Women: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Top 3 Male and Female in Each Age Group. 9 & under 10-14 15-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60+. The Joey Run was created in memory of Joey Gootee, a beloved son, brother, family member, and friend whose life was lost to an overdose more than 10 years ago. Joey’s death forever changed our family. Addiction takes so much. It takes lives, steals time, breaks hearts, and leaves families carrying a loss that never completely goes away. After experiencing that pain firsthand, we knew we wanted to do something that could help keep another individual and another family from experiencing the same thing. That is why the Joey Run exists. Each year, we come together not only to remember Joey, but to shine a light into the darkness that so often surrounds addiction. Addiction can carry shame, silence, and stigma, but we believe there is hope. Recovery is possible, lives can be changed, and no one should have to walk that road alone. Proceeds from the Joey Run support addiction recovery efforts, helping provide hope, resources, and opportunities for individuals working toward a life of recovery. But the Joey Run is about more than raising money. It’s about bringing our community together. It’s about remembering those we’ve lost, celebrating those who are fighting and those who are living in recovery, supporting the families who love them, and reminding people that there is always hope. The Rosie Foundation is excited to host its ninth annual Run for the Rosies 5K, in Franklin, Kentucky, on September 11, 2027 at 8:00am. We are ready to celebrate Tiffany Barnes Gray's mission with you of caring for Glioblastoma and other cancer warriors at the Barn at Bethel Grove. Register to walk or run with us on September 11th on our course in rural Simpson County. We are again offering a separate category for walkers! To be a walker, one foot must be on the ground at all times. No running if you are entered as a walker. While we love seeing all our runners and walkers in person, we do offer a virtual option. We will also feature team registrations for groups of 10 or more at a discounted price. Prizes will be awarded for the Top Male and Female Overall as well as for the Top 3 males and females in each age group in both the runner and walker divisions. ALL live and virtual participants registering by August 13th will receive BOTH a shirt and a medal. If you are interested in becoming a race sponsor, we offer several tiers of sponsorship.
