The Community Action Poverty Simulation breaks down stereotypes by allowing participants to step into the real life situations of others. This simulation allows individuals to walk a month in the shoes of someone who is facing poverty and realize how complex and interconnected issues of poverty really are. Participants will take on the role of a member of a family facing a variety of challenging but typical circumstances. Each family is given a card explaining its unique circumstances and then tasked with finding food, shelter, and other basic necessities by accessing various community resources.  Union Gospel Mission- Community Outreach Center 2400 N. A Memory Grows is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as an outreach to grieving parents, and as a resource to hospitals, clinics, hospice groups, churches and other nonprofit organizations. The Legacy 5K Fun Run is A Memory Grow's annual run and walk. This race is open to anyone who would like to join us as we honor the lives and legacies of our children. While our race is not officially timed by a timing company, we have many serious runners who participate each year.
