Join us at North Lakes Park in Denton, TX for the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon, a meaningful race dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Whether you’re running in tribute, alongside a veteran, or as a veteran yourself, this event is a powerful way to show gratitude and community support. As a token of appreciation, all Veterans race for FREE, and Active Duty military can participate for just $15. Family members and supporters are encouraged to join at the regular registration rate and be part of this special day of recognition and celebration. (ID Required - any form of government issued Military ID) All participants will receive a custom finisher medal upon crossing the finish line—because every mile run in honor of our heroes deserves to be celebrated. For those looking to compete, this race delivers. Awards will be presented to the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in each distance, as well as the Top Three Overall Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters Male and Female finishers. In addition, the top three athletes in each of the traditional five-year age groups (starting at 10 & Under) will earn awards across all race distances. Come run, walk, and stand in support—because honoring our veterans never goes out of stride.

Join the Denton Area Running Club on Thanksgiving morning for the 11th annual Downtown Denton Turkey Trot 5k Kids' Gobble Wobble 1k. The fun, family-friendly 5k route goes through the beautiful Texas Woman's University campus and around the historic Downtown Denton Square! Proceeds benefit the Denton Community Food Center.

Together to reduce local hunger and food insecurity! The Food & Nutrition Network is proud to present the 32nd annual, Pioneer Pace 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 3rd, 2027 at 8:30 am. All proceeds will support the Tarrant Area Food Bank which serves over 146,000 households every year, and the North Texas Food Bank which provides over 70 million meals every year to local hungry and food insecure people. The race takes place around the beautiful TWU campus. It starts and finishes at the Old Main Circle. Winning Categories Awarded Trophy for 1st place, 2nd & 3rd place receive medals! This race consists of the following: Individual, Team Competition, 3 Person Relay and a 5K. Individual Competition: Sign up to participate as an individual. We will have age groups in 5 year increments. The Sprint Triathlon Team option is included for the 12th year. The team competition  will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed. This is NOT a relay, each team member will do all three components of the Sprint Tri. The overall race times of the three team members will be added together to determine a final team time. The team with the lowest total time in their division will win team trophies. Racers that participate on a team are still eligible for overall and age group awards.  The Sprint Triathlon 3 Person Relay competition will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed. Join us for the inaugural Stride n’ Thrive 5K on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Denton, Texas, as we celebrate National Health Center Week. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, this event is all about bringing our community together in support of better health for all. Proceeds from the race benefit Health Services of North Texas (HSNT), helping provide quality, compassionate care to thousands of individuals and families across our region. Expect a fun, welcoming atmosphere with a Race Village, community partners, and opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate. All fitness levels are encouraged.

5K - Finish inside stadium with all the Triathletes and get a finisher's Medal and post party FUN. All 5K participants also get an Old College Tri shirt.  The Old College Tri returns!
