The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers organized the Freedom Run® as an opportunity to unite and honor the heroes and victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The Freedom Run is one of the longest running tributes to 9/11 in the world. 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the Freedom Run and it will again be held at Trinity Groves in Dallas. Grab your friends, family, co-workers, and even your favorite holiday troublemaker and join us for a festive morning of miles, memories, and holiday fun. This isn’t just another holiday gathering… it’s a casual 3-mile adventure followed by Peticolas brews and tacos from That Taco Dude! Whether you’re showing up in your best holiday gear, ready to channel your inner John McClane, or just looking for a fun way to kick off your weekend, we’re ready to celebrate with you. Go at YOUR pace, run, walk, skip, whatever you like the goal is to show up and have fun. Bring a friend or make new ones at the social run. The three miles is on a trail near the brewery! Check-in is between the hours of 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. You can start your run/walk whenever you would like or join the 'group' start at 8:30 AM and run with the group! The 28th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214   The 28th Annual Long Run is the only fundraiser sponsored by the J.L. Long Middle School PTA. Proceeds are critical to fund the J.L. Primos Dallas is hosting our 3rd Annual Run the Grove 5K on Saturday, April 18, 2026!  Our mentoring program serves families in the southeast Dallas area of Pleasant Grove and we are excited to bring a certified 5K race with official timing to the neighborhood. We will also have a Fun Run course, and family friendly activities, including free food, music, face painting, and games.  Join us to raise scholarship funds for high school and college students. Since 2018, Primos has awarded $105,000 in scholarships.
