The goal of the Teddy Bear 5K is to raise critical funds and community awareness for the Limestone Child Advocacy Center (LCAC). LCAC provides a safe, child-focused environment for children who have experienced abuse or trauma, helping them begin the healing process through advocacy, forensic services, and access to essential resources. Every step you take helps support children and families during some of their most difficult moments. Since 2014, Pink Lady Walk has hosted an annual 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness and provide direct financial support to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer. Our mission is simple: to help alleviate some of the financial burdens caused by this devastating disease. Unlike many organizations that focus solely on research, Pink Lady Walk supports survivors and their families directly. Since our founding, we have assisted 25 breast cancer survivors, one child with cancer, Hospice of Limestone County (AL), the Patient Assistance Fund at The Southern Cancer Center in Huntsville (AL), and the Joy to Life Foundation in Montgomery (AL). Economic hardship is often an invisible part of the cancer journey—one that many families cannot overcome alone.
