We will close off waves the moment they fill up. If waves are sold out, you can sign-up for the virtual run option or wait list. This is a smaller, private group run with a cap per wave. All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome - Run or Walk!   There's no equipment or setup, this is a pure run with our coordinators to support you in a warm, stress-free setting! When you sign-up, we give you the support you need to help you achieve your goals and fitness. We also invite you to be part of our local run clubs that supports your fitness journey.  Timing: - Timing is Optional: You may track your time on an app (Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run, etc) and submit your times with our easy form to be posted online. The Rend Lake Marathon, Half-Marathon and Quarter-Marathon Gorgeous paved paths, stunning views and rolling country roads make this course the Marathon to remember! Rend Lake, IL, located in the heart of southern Illinois, is a natural haven for wildlife and a recreational haven for visitors. Rend Lake consists of 18,900 acres of water and 20,000 acres of land. Campers will delight in the nearly 800 sites found in 5 public campgrounds on Rend Lake. Boaters are provided access to the lake through the numerous boat ramps. Beaches, picnic sites and trails provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor fun. The course then will take you across the lake for one of the best panoramic views in Illinois, before connecting to the bike path which passes South Sandusky Beach, the Marina, Rend Lake Visitors Center, the amazing spillway and dozens of other spectacular views of Rend Lake. From there you will continue on country roads winding through beautiful vistas including both Lake Hamilton and Lake Benton. Finally you will get back on the bike path and end at the stunning North Marcum Beach. We can't wait to see you finish your next great adventure with us!

Explore the Cap Sauers Holding Nature Preserve - the largest tract of undeveloped land in Cook County, IL. This race will cover every inch of maintained trail within the Nature Preserve. With over 1000 ft of elevation, this marathon is mountainous by Chicago standards! The course uses the Sag Valley Trail system, covering the Yellow, Green, Blue & Tan trails. Back for a 12th year, the 2026 Starved Rock Country Marathon and Half Marathon, 5K and now 10K  have become the "must do" events of the running community in central Illinois. The Marathon course will again encompass the scenery of the Illinois River, the neighborhoods of Ottawa, and the rolling landscapes in and around Starved Rock State Park. Runners will be inspired by the scenery of rolling country hills and natural rock formations tucked into heavily wooded areas created by the Illinois River thousands of years ago. This record eligible marathon course has 16 aide stations with Gatorade at each station and we plan to stock one station for the half and two for the marathon with GU. Runners participating in the Half Marathon, which starts in the heart of Starved Rock State Park, will experience the neighborhoods of Ottawa in addition to wooded scenery and sites along the Illinois River. A race that is among the fastest growing marathon road races in the world with its largely fast and flat course that finishes in Grant Park and is a Boston qualifier. Registering with the Fund will guarantee an entry for you at the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. To receive guaranteed entry you will agree to a fundraising minimum $2,500, pay a $100 team fee, and pay the race registration fee. If you already have an entry to the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon you can join the team as a "Fundraiser Only" and you will receive all of the same benefits as a Participant.
