Santa to the Sea is a nonprofit event born out of a desire to give back to the community. What started in 2003 as a toy drive to celebrate the relocation of the world’s largest Santa Claus from Carpinteria to Oxnard, has grown into a robust running event, toy drive, and community fundraiser. Santa to the Sea includes a half marathon, a Quarter Marathon plus a 5K run and 1K kids fun run. The Santa to the Sea Scholarship Fund partners with Gene Haas and Oxnard College Foundation to award $500 scholarships to local high school students and adults continuing their education at Oxnard College.  Santa to the Sea offers families not only a weekend of fun, but also an opportunity to give back to those in need, just in time for the holiday season. The nonprofit event helps collect toys for underprivileged children throughout Ventura County while raising scholarship money for students at Oxnard College. The Redding Marathon is a Boston qualifying marathon to be held on January 17, 2027.Enjoy a point to point race on paved "river trails" that wind their way along the Sacramento River. "Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge" also includes a 3 person marathon relay and the Sundial 5k for all ages!    Bus transportation to the start of the Marathon relay will be very limited in 2027.  Stay tuned for more information.

The Palm Desert 1/2 Marathon & 5K returns to the heart of the desert on Sunday, February 14, 2027! Race the Coachella Valley's only half marathon, run/walk our flat, fast 5K course, or, new for 2027, run the Palm Desert 10K! Kids up to 13 years of age can run our 1K kids run. 1/2 marathon, 10K, and 5K participants receive an official race t-shirt, finisher medal, timing and post-race food. Kids run participants receive a finisher medal and post-race food. This year will be bigger than ever, so register today and join in on the fun!

The SOCAL River Marathon has four distances. Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.  This is a fun course in Southern California. This course runs on the Santa Ana River Trail from Yorba Linda to Huntington Beach State Park. This route truly spans Southern California from the dryer desert land to areas near Disneyland to the Beach. The course is primarily flat and straight but has a gradual downhill slant following the river to the ocean. This route is two years ago was cleaned up from homeless tents and is not fenced in nightly.

Uniquely situated and completely surrounded by beautiful mountains, the city of Ojai holds the start of the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon while the half starts closer to the beach. This point to point race winds through the Ventura River Valley as it makes its way to the pristine beaches of the last great surf town in California, Ventura. Runners will love the gradual downhill nature of the race, which is prime to make you faster but not hurt the knees, and the amazing weather of the area. After a final tour of beach front Ventura, runners and their families are treated to a finish line party only steps away from the surf and the shops and restaurants of Historic Downtown Ventura. As a certified Boston Qualifier, the courses, the race and the surrounding communities make for the perfect destination marathon and half.

The Hoag OC Marathon Running Festival includes four different runs during the first weekend in May annually. The weekend of running begins at the OC Fair and Event Center on Saturday morning with the award winning Hoag Kids Run the OC when nearly 9,000 kids from over 150 Orange County schools participate. The Avenue of the Giants is one of the most beautiful races in the world!  It runs through old growth redwoods and follows a natural creek in the middle of a state park.  Staged on "The Avenue of the Giants" in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, located in rural Northern California.
