Last Chance Marathon and Half Marathon

Bellingham, WA
OK, here is your Last Chance to run a 1/2 marathon or full marathon this year! The 1/2 marathon course is an out and back and the full marathon course is the same out and back course two times, starting at Fairhaven Park Pavillion, running the Interurban trail out to Clayton Beach for the full 13.1 miles or 26.2. Course is subject to change if trail conditions mandate.   This trail has spectacular views and very few hills, just enough hills to make it interesting, and break up the flat sections. FYI: We have been known to have SNOW this time of the year so plan accordingly. The majority of this trail is covered with a canopy of trees which deflects some of the rain or snow, but this also means it doesn’t heat as fast as an open course would. It can get cold. The majority of the trail is an old railroad bed, very easy to run on gravel surface, with the exception of Arroyos Park. Arroyos Park is a double track trail with a few bridges and a few fun hills. It is a very well maintained set

My Better Half Marathon

Seattle, WA
Prepare yourself for a running event like no other. Romance. Kitsch. Sweat. My Better Half Marathon is a celebration of running, romance and rom-coms. There are 4 categories: Bromance (two guy friends), Besties (two best friends), Lovers (romantically involved) and Lonely Hearts (self-explanatory). Join Orca Running, February 14th, 2027, as we celebrate love in all of its forms! Lover's registration is for couples of all kinds! Bestie's registration is for two girlfriends, mom and daughter, guy and gal, or anyone you call your bestie. Bromance registration is for two dudes who probably don't want to admit that they're inseparable. Lonely Heart's registration is for those currently enjoying being single or looking for love. The half marathon course is a total of 2 laps. The first lap has a steep but quick hill early on and is 6.9 miles in length. The second lap is 6.2 miles long and is nice and flat! The 10K course is a total of 2 laps. The first lap has some hills in the beginning and is 3.7 miles long whereas the second lap is nice and flat and is 2.5 miles in length! The 5k course is 3.1 miles long. A steep but quick hill in the beginning is a great warm-up but once you come back down it’s a breeze! Half Marathon Relay: The relay course can be completed in any way you prefer, as long as both laps are completed. Lap one is 6.9 miles long and has a quick but steep hill in the beginning, Lap two is 6.2 miles long and is nice and flat! It doesn’t matter who completes which lap. There is a relay hand off area just before the finish line (in the park gazebo) where you make the exchange from one runner to the other. Your entry comes with long sleeve 1/4 zip shirt, finisher medal, hot post-race oatmeal, and free race photos! The My Better Half Marathon supports Rebuilding Seattle Together. Annie Curtis Half Marathon & 5K

Anacortes, WA
A half marathon, 5K and Kids Fun Run through downtown Anacortes and its waterfront — the town named for Annie Curtis — on a Sunday morning in May. The Annie Curtis Half Marathon, 5K and Kids Fun Run are new for 2027 — a May morning in Anacortes, with all three distances starting and finishing in the same historic location, the Depot. Anacortes is named for Annie! In 1876 the railroad surveyor Amos Bowman set out to build a home on Fidalgo Island, and when the town's post office opened in 1879 it took his wife's maiden name — Annie Curtis — "slightly corrupted in the interest of euphony." Anne "Annie" Bonfield Curtis Bowman had married Amos in California in 1871 and come north with him. The town that grew up around that post office has carried her name ever since, and she is buried at Grand View Cemetery here in town. Everything else is the Orca setup you already know: chip timing, a course that's marked properly, aid stations with people who cheer, a finish line worth running at, and a cute downtown to wander throug
