Starting at Cocopah Casino & Resort and running through scenic areas like Somerton and San Luis, Arizona, not only offers a beautiful backdrop for the race but also gives runners a chance to experience the charm of the desert southwest and the rural communities of southern Arizona. This is a virtual race open to supporters across the country who want to take action for children and families. Participants can run, walk, or move in their own community while supporting a national mission to protect children’s relationships with both parents. This race is part of a larger effort to run 50 half marathons in 50 states, completing one race each month. Each run is dedicated to raising awareness about parental alienation, family court practices that separate children from a loving parent, and the urgent need for children to have reasonable access to both parents. Parental alienation and unnecessary parent-child separation cause long-term emotional, psychological, and developmental harm. This run exists to bring visibility to that harm and to advocate for fair, child-focused family court outcomes. This event is Run 14 of 50. Little Colorado River Half Marathon & 10K Races Little Colorado River Gorge Navajo Tribal Park  Saturday February 13, 2027     Welcome to the Little Colorado River Gorge Half Marathon & 10K   REGISTRATION – Online registration for the LCR Half Marathon and 10K will be open through the race weekend of February 13th.  Packet pick-up and on-site registration will take place at the start line on Saturday morning at LCR Park.   LOCATION – The LCR Navajo Tribal Park is located 9.5 miles west of Cameron, Arizona on Hwy 64, which is the road to east entrance of Grand Canyon.  There is ample parking at the Park, which includes dramatic overlooks and arts & crafts vendors.  There are permanent pit toilets at the Park.   PACKET PICK-UP – Packet pick-up will be available between 8:00-9:45 a.m. at the Start Line at the park on Saturday morning.  All races begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.   COURSE – The half marathon route begins and ends at the LCR Navajo Tribal Park’s Shadow Mountain V

The High Mountain Half marathon is the perfect fall race to escape the high temps of the lower elevations and plan a cool, relaxing destination race vacation. It is also a great training race for a fall marathon. The half marathon course is a point to point race where runners will be bused from Blue Ridge High School starting at 4:40 am for a cool, crisp 6:00 am start time. Runners will be surrounded by beautiful cedar and pine trees as they travel down Porter Mountain and into the town of Pinetop/Lakeside finishing up at the Blue Ridge High School track. On Saturday morning there is also a 10K and 5K run.   Friday evening highlights are a Glow/Color  Run/Walk and Free Kids run.
