Hi, my name is Nathan Chamot, I’m 18 years old, and I’m the organizer of the second annual Run for Tourette 5K, a charity run and walk that raises money for the Tourette Association of America! I founded the Run for Tourette 5K because I have Tourette Syndrome, and I don’t want others to face the same barriers I did growing up with the disorder. In 2025, the 5K set a new national fundraising record for events raising money for Tourette Syndrome—the event raised over $33,000, and I hope to surpass that this year! With your help, we can fund the Tourette Association of America’s critical efforts to support the Tourette community through research, spreading awareness, and educating professionals about Tourette’s. You can help by registering as a participant, donating to our cause, or, if you own a business, sponsoring our event! I hope to see you there! If you would like to learn more about the Tourette Association of America, please go to Tourette.org

Celebrate the fall colors and changing seasons with a trail run through Secor and Wiregrass Metroparks!! There will be two races - an 8 miler and a 5K (full disclosure...due to the need to use existing trails, the distances are actually about 7.7 and 3.3 miles. So you have the opportunity to set PR's in a new distance!!). Both races start at Secor Metropark on the all-purpose trail. Runners in the 8 miler will start adjacent to the Secor Room at Secor Park, follow the all-purpose trail counter-clockwise, connect to the Moseley Trail and follow it to Wiregrass Lake, then do a loop around the lake and return on the Moseley and all-purpose trails to the finish at the Secor Room. Runners in the 5K will run one loop of the "long version" of the Secor park all-purpose trail. Both courses are flat and non-technical. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. Falling Leaves was named a top fall trail race by Outside Magazine in 2025  https://run.outsideonline.com/trail/trail-racing/top-12-trai
