SYRACUSE UGLY SWEATER 5K  November 28, 2026 Race Event start time 10:00am Come celebrate the transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season with a fun and festive Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K for runners and walkers. The 12th Annual Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K will once again be held at Onondaga Lake Park under the Lights on the Lake. All runners participating in the Ugly Sweater 5K run (either Team Santa or Team Grinch) will receive a custom long sleeve shirt and custom finisher medal. New for 2026 will be the addition of the Ugly Sweater 5K Yeti Walk. All of those participating in the rewarding 5K walk will receive a custom Winter Beanie and a finisher medal. Post race awards ceremony and party will be at the Cobblestone in Liverpool.  There will be awards for the Overall and Age Group winners as well as prizes for best in dress. All donations, both financial and in-kind will go to the Ainsley's Angels of Syracuse this year.

According to German Folklore Saint Nicholas rewards good children with sweets and gifts and Krampus punishes bad ones with switches and on occasion Krampus kidnaps the misbehaved by putting them in a sack or basket to haul away to the underworld! On November 28th at 10am the Krampus 5k run and 1 mile walk will take place at the Utica Maennerchor Club at 5535 Flanagan Rd Marcy, NY 13403! This is an out and back course starting from the Maennerchor, up to the SUNY Polytechnic Institute campus finishing back at the club. Let's see who can get back without getting caught by Krampus and ensure St. Nicholas will visit you this Christmas!! The charter of the Utica Maennerchor adopted back then was and still is ““…the object of UMC shall be charitable and for the study of the German language and culture and fostering of German American singing.””. Twice a year the Maennerchor’s chorus, along with invited other choruses, put on a concert singing songs in both German and English. This year’s concerts promoted the country’s 250th anniversary. During the concerts, the Maennerchor makes a cash donation to other organizations within the community such as the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department, The House of the Good Shepard, CABVI and many others over the years.

The 3rd Annual Home Pro Exteriors' Livingston Manor Turkey “Trout” is presented by Bellwether Architects, Country House Realty, and Dextra Partners The 2026 Turkey Trout is co-sponsored by the Livingston Manor Chamber of Commerce. The Rochester Ugly Sweater 5K will take place at North Ponds Park (aka Charles E. Sexton Park). The Monticello Teachers’ Association is proud to present the 12th Annual Tinsel Trot 5k Fun Run! Remember to dress as your favorite holiday character! Your support will provide scholarships for Monticello students as well as benefit local charity! For the past 11 years, the Tinsel Trot has raised money to support local charities and deserving Monticello High School students in their academic endeavors. Please help us continue this festive occasion! The race begins at the stop sign between Dutch's Tavern and the Rock Hill Trading Post. Participants make a left onto Lake Louise Marie Road and then a right onto North Emerald. The race continues on North Emerald until reaching a turnaround just before Old Sackett Road. Runners then continue back to the start of the race and finish at the end of Lake Louise Marie Road.

Join us for the 35th Annual Oswego YMCA Reindeer Run - a festive celebration that brings together runners, families, and holiday cheer! This beloved community event will take place on Saturday, December 5 at 9:30am starting and finishing at the Oswego YMCA featuring a fun 5K run/walk suitable for all ages and skill levels. This is a 5k fun run and not a chip timed race. Dress in your favorite holiday attire, and don’t forget your reindeer antlers! Location & Information About Join us on December 28th for these inaugural holiday season races, the Queens NYC Chiller Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. The runner's designed course, named The Rocket, uses long tree lined promenades with vistas of the city, massive Unisphere and Rocket Thrower installations, and all that makes Flushing Meadow Corona Park the heart of this amazing community. The course for Half Marathon athletes is a fast 3.27 mile loop that they complete 4 times. 10K athletes run most of the same course with a short cut off so that they complete 3.1 miles for each loop, thus completing 2 loops to finish. 5K athletes run this same course once. Each loop is chip timed real time, with digital mapping, and live streaming. It's a wonderful way to keep up with your racing in the most incredible city in the world. Join us! Race Details Packet Pick-Up: BIB Pick Up is on race day only! 30 - 60 min. before your start time. Look for an email from the Race Director on the week of the event that includes the official start time. The start time will be determined on the week of the event and is based on the weather forecast. Amenities •Free pictures and video available on results page. LIVE timing. •High-quality technical shirt. •Commemorative Finisher Medal. •Huge medal awards. •Baggage check-in and toilets will be provided. •Water stations every 1.5 miles: gels, sports drink. •Your friends can watch your progress and you can get all the info that you need by using RaceMap on our live page. •Portable toilets are located at the start. There will also be portable and public toilets located on the course. You can access these prior to, during and after the event. Timing RESULTS and SPLITS PER LOOP are posted LIVE on our results page that links to raceresult. We use the latest German engineered technologies and equipment specifically designed to score and track your run. We place timing devices at the U-turns of our course to assure that all runners complete the course. In addition, you must start in the correct wave within the first 1-2 minutes of the start of your wave/category to be included in the awards ceremony. Late arrivals will be timed and included in the results if your finish time does NOT affect the awards ceremony. If you arrive late you still need to inform the timer before you start. You MUST wear your BIB on your front torso to assure that you get timed. You will get timing splits each time that you run past the START and at two additional locations. Your time will be posted online at the following RESULTS PAGE. You can share this with your fans so that they see your splits as they happen.

Run or walk our scenic, mostly flat Hudson River loop course—with just one hill to keep things interesting! Then warm up with hot chocolate, hot cider, and other refreshments. All results will be posted immediately after the race.To guarantee your Cupid's Chase shirt, please register by January 1, 2027; after that date, shirts will be available while supplies last.Giveaways include a Cupid's Chase finisher medal and drawstring bag, available while supplies last.Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female finishers.Age group medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers in each of the following 14 age groups: 12 & under, 13–15, 16–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69 and 70 & over.This is a rain or shine event.
