The proceeds from this race are used to fund college scholarships that directly impact the youth of our community. About the Races In 2027, the El Paso Marathon races will return to our roots when we once again finish in Downtown, just as the marathon did for our first race in 2007. Finishing downtown not only gives runners and spectators alike a chance to enjoy the historic center of the city, it lets runners finish on a net decline, which helps them with their finish time and improves their chances to qualify for the 2027 Boston Marathon or the 2027 Abbott WMM MTT Age Group Marathon World Championships. The Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon is a qualifier for both the Boston and the Abbott Age Group Championship marathons. Many El Paso Marathon overall winners and age group winners have gone on to compete in those races. Held on the same day as the Raiz Federal Credit Union Half Marathon and the Spine & Rehab Specialists 5K, the marathon and its associated races have attracted runners from nearly every state in the United States and from countries as varied as Mexico, France, Norway, Liberia, and Germany.

The 50th Annual Bayou City Classic 10K and 5k Fun Run March 6, 2027 The 50th running of the Bayou City Classic 10K, Texas' oldest 10K race, will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2027 at 8AM (Wheel start is 7:50AM). The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:20AM (Wheel start is 8:15AM). The event takes place in the heart of downtown Houston (Hermann Square adjacent to City Hall). 30th Annual Casey’s Kids 5K/Fun Run & KISD Family Health Expo Casey’s Kids began with one simple act of compassion. Former Keller ISD counselor Janie Casey learned that a student was missing school because they did not have the clothing they needed. Determined to help, she found a way to provide clothing and essentials to students facing similar challenges. In 1997, the Keller Council of PTAs embraced her vision, and what began as a response to one student’s need grew into a program that continues to support Keller ISD students with clothing, backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials. Can you believe we’re celebrating 30 years? We are so excited to be gearing up for the 30th Annual Casey’s Kids 5K/Fun Run & KISD Family Health Expo! Three decades later and the heart behind Casey’s Kids is still going strong. This special milestone is a celebration of the students, families, schools, volunteers, and community members who have helped carry Mrs. Casey’s mission forward.
