Kick off the summer season at Trailside Brewing at Lennox station with the Summer Session 10k & 5k! Both courses will be fully on the all new Ecusta Trail greenway system! The Ecusta Trail is a newly transformed greenway that was originally a rail line. Both courses start at Trailside Brewing and are an out-and-back all on the trail. We’ve also added a kids’ .25 mile Sunshine Sprint untimed event before the 10k and 5k! The Sunshine Sprint is $10 and includes a finisher medal and race bib. Sunshine Sprinters can add on a race shirt for $20 during check out. Youth small and medium available. There are not awards for the Sunshine Sprint. A Finisher medal, 1 beer from Trailside (or non-alcoholic beverage!), race shirt, & chip timing are included in race registration. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership.

Celebrate the 4th of July with the Firecracker 5K/10K at the Riverside Park in Bryson City, NC. The race is followed by the Freedom Festival. There's fun for the whole family with events all day, and fireworks at night. You can add whitewater rafting, a train ride, or waterfall hikes. Make a big holiday in a small town.  The Rotary Club of Bryson City hosts the 37th Annual 5K with a course that starts and finishes in the historic town of Bryson City,  and meanders through Deep Creek Community, the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.    Register by June 10th to receive a commemorative race shirt. This festive race brings all the cheer of the season—without the cold—giving athletes a fun and energetic way to race during the warm summer months. Whether you’re tackling the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon, you’ll enjoy a spirited race atmosphere filled with holiday flair, seasonal fun, and motivation from start to finish. One of the greatest destination half marathons in North Carolina!  Asheville is truly an American treasure and a running destination with great shopping and world-class beer, arts, and dining. Runners will want to sample the many unique breweries, bars and clubs that the city has to offer! Asheville is one of America's most picturesque cities with beautiful homes, mountains and attractions bordering the Blue Ridge Parkway!  The 13th Annual Asheville Half Marathon - 10k - 5K  begins and ends in Pack Square on August 29, 2026.
