The Homesteader Museum is proud to announce the 5th Annual Jim Beavers Memorial Graveyard Gallop 10K/5K/1 mile Run/Walk to take place on October 31st, all races will begin at 10-am. Race will take place at 699 Lane 9 in Powell. All courses are out and back passing by the cemetery. Prizes will be awarded upon the completion of the races. Come dressed in your Halloween costume or Green and Yellow Green Bay Packers Gear (Jim’s favorite team) and join us for a fun morning of running & walking!! All funds raised will go to the Homesteader Museum Association, Inc. for children’s scholarships for workshops offered at the Homesteader Museum and education/professional development training. *Shirts ordered after 10/21 will not be available on race day but can be picked up at the Homesteader Museum during Sample the Seasons.*

Sprint, run, jog, walk, or gobble-wobble down this fast point-to-point downhill mile course! **Note that this race is the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and will NOT be held on Thanksgiving morning!** This will be a fun opportunity to lay down a fast mile time... and a great way to burn some calories and get some movement before you dig in to the turkey and mashed potatoes. The course will start on Northview Street and will run on neighborhood streets, finishing on Knadler Street in front of Indian Paintbrush Elementary School. This year's course features an elevation drop of 123 feet in just one mile! Come join us for a Thanksgiving morning fun run starting and finishing at the Lander City Park! The route is 1 mile long and will have multiple people dressed as turkeys completing the course with you. These turkeys will be running various paces (fastest being sub 6:00/mile) and the goal is to beat as many turkeys as you can! All ages and abilities are welcome to join us for the event. Course description: The race will begin inside of Lander City Park on 3rd Street, near the parking lot for the Lion’s shelter. The race will run North on 3rd street, out of the park past Fremont St and will turn left on Park St. Racers will follow Park Street all the way until it joins back with Fremont Street. At that point, runners will turn left and return to the park. The race will finish on Fremont Street in front of the parking lot on the North side of the park. Registration includes: Finisher long sleeve t-shirt (Youth short sleeve option) Shirt sizes are limited. If your size is sold out, feel free to choose another option or the "no shirt" option for $10 off. Finisher medal **Don't want a shirt? Register and choose "no shirt" option for a $10 discount. These items will be donated to the Lander Food Bank. Volunteers If you have any family/friends who are interested in supporting the event, but not interested in participating, we have need for volunteers on race day. They can sign up through the registration platform or have them email robby@lifewellruncoaching.com and we will send them information regarding volunteer options. Weather Cancelation Statement Weather this time of year can be unpredictable. Because of this, we realize a race cannot be held if it is unsafe due to snow/ice on the road. If the weather restricts our ability to host the race, we will send out an email either night before or morning of informing all participants of cancellation. Those who have signed up will still receive their finisher medal and race shirt but no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding.

Gobble gobble -- the Turkey Trot is back! Grab your Thanksgiving crew and throw on your best holiday sweater. Thanksgiving Day | 9am 5K - Free, Untimed Community Run Stilson Parking Lot Donations are accepted to keep the race free for the community (suggested: $5/person, $20/family). Register so we have an idea of how many people are coming. We will have special Turkey Trot mugs available for hot beverages after the race. Prizes for top 3 female and male finishers and Best Dressed. The race is untimed (there will be no official results). Faster runners start up front, slower folks/walkers toward the back. Keep your dogs on leash, please. Course: The race starts and ends in Stilson Parking Lot just north of the bathrooms. Runners will start in the parking lot before hopping on the pathway. Before crossing Fish Creek, runners will cross under Highway 22 (via the tunnel) and follow the pathway to the junction with HHR Road. Runners will turn right/north on HHR Road and run along the road for a short section before hopping back onto the pathway just past Wilson Elementary School. There will be a water station at the entrance to the pathway. Runners will remain on the pathway until the the final right turn back into Stilson and to the finish line. Thank you for supporting your Cody Cubs Legion Baseball! This Fun Run and 5k event is a fundraiser for our baseball teams in order to support travel, gear, and operating expenses. THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED! (See Below) Please enter through the right side doors (racquetball area) between the Rec Center and the Riley Arena. Virtual runs are available for non-local participants or those who cannot make it on race day. NEW: We will also have silent auction items and a light dinner! Supporters who do not wish to run can purchase a dinner-only ticket and come get in on the silent auction items! Packet pickup will be Thursday, Dec 3 from 4-6pm and before the race on Friday, Dec 4 from 4-4:30pm. 5K CHIP TIMED BIBS CANNOT BE REGISTERED/ADDED AFTER 4:30PM ON RACE DAY. The 1 mile FUN RUN will begin at 5pm with the 5k following at 5:30pm. Results will be displayed by age groups and a prize given for largest "team." So get your friends together and join a team!! Holiday attire, antlers, elf hats, "glow" accessories, and more are highly encouraged! Have fun and THANK YOU again for your support! *In the event that weather does not permit us to run safely, we will STILL have packet pickup, silent auction, and the dinner. PEAKS to Conga: A Ride with PurposeAbout the Ride: PEAKS to Conga is an annual road bike ride and cancer fundraiser from Cody to Shell, Wyoming. All proceeds benefit PEAKS (People Everywhere Are Kind & Sharing), a nonprofit that supports cancer patients in the Big Horn Basin by helping cover gas, groceries, and other non-medical expenses during treatment. Since its inception, the ride has raised more than $450,000 to assist local friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers facing cancer. Join us for our 15th annual ride on Saturday, June 20, 2026! This is a fun, non-competitive, fully supported event that begins at 7:00 AM at the parking lot of Cody Coffee Roasters and Acension FBO Network (3001 Duggleby Dr, Cody, WY). The 66-mile route features rolling hills adorned with tribute signs honoring those who have battled or are currently fighting cancer. The ride ends in the quaint community of Shell, Wyoming. After the ride, relax in Shell’s community green space and grab food or drinks

The 12th annual Will Run for Cannoli 5k is a family fun run/walk and will be held on July 11, 2026 at Lions Park in Cheyenne. Participants can expect a fun course, age division prizes, raffles, a finisher medal, and homemade cannoli at the end!!! The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. near the pavilion by the Children's Village. Participants will run toward the east around Sloans Lake, through the tunnel under Central Avenue, and counter-clockwise around the golf course. Participants will then go through the tunnel again and continue running westerly/counter clockwise around Sloans Lake, ending at the beach. There, each participant will receive a finisher medal and a delicious, homemade, Sicilian cannolo!! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Wyoming. The race courses will leave you breathless as you traverse the mountain and take in jaw-dropping views of the Grand Teton and surrounding vistas. Old school fun in Western Wyoming.  Since 2004 we've put on a world class 31k and 50k trail races on rugged terrain in the Wyoming Wilderness.  It's a community race that's a benefit for the Star Valley High School Track and Cross Country Teams.
