The Beyond Design Bike Tour (BDBT) is an annual fundraising and networking event organized by the Eppstein Uhen Tennessen Foundation. Its primary aim is to raise funds for local charities within our community while fostering connections among partners, clients and friends. Join us for the popular Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk that takes place in downtown Athens as part of the Annual Athens Fair.  This year is the 16th running of the popular mid-summer run. The 5K starts at Memorial Park, (in front of the Beer Tent) routes through the scenic Erbach Park trails and finishes on Kreutzer Street at in Downtown Athens, next to the grocery store, Main Street Market.  The race is made possible by the following local businesses and organizations. Nicole was a supporter and champion of mental health during her life, both personally and professionally, as a social worker and community volunteer; in the wake of her untimely death, the First We Live Foundation was created in recognition of the special person she was and the connections she made with so many; and as a result, the Nicole Moniz Memorial 5k has become an annual event in her honor to raise awareness and fund our mission to support and cultivate access to integrated mental health programs and services for those who encounter societal barriers in identifying and attending to their mental health needs, especially youth and those engaged in helping professions.

The 4th Annual Standing Rocks Enduro Mountain Bike Race at Standing Rocks County Park in Stevens Point, WI.  The Expert category will have 8 Stages, the Sport category will have 6 stages, and the Youth category will have 4 stages (subject to change).  Overall finish positions will be determined by the racer's total cumulative time after completing all 4 Youth stages, all 6 Sport, and all 8 Expert runs in their category. The Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo is not a race, but rather a chance for riders to challengethemselves while enjoying the ride at their own pace. The routes include scenic, rurallandscapes of Central Wisconsin with three course lengths to choose from – 35, 73, or 101miles. Riders tailor their experiences to their preferences and abilities. There will also be atimed Strava segment in the 101-mile ride, with special awards for top finishers.This fully supported ride includes four rest stops, SAG support, a meal served after the ride, anda Strava-segment award presentation. The RUD Run (Run Until Done) is a very unique experience for runners! We welcome runners of all ability and experience level. We believe this event allows the opportunity for runners to experience our trails, a variety of the unique features, and to push themselves in a unique format. The run begins at 9:00 a.m. and each runner (either individual or one runner for each team) will have up to ONE HOUR to complete their 4.15 mile loop.

The 2nd Annual "Swim of Legends" will be held on August 30th, 2026.  Finish the summer with an open water ultra distance swim in the clear waters of iconic Geneva Lake!  This is a US Masters certified swim! A USMS membership is required, $20 will be taken off registration cost if you are an annual USMS member.  This event provides a secure, well-supported environment for experienced swimmers.   The swim will be about 11 kilometers (7 miles).  Each swimmer will be required to use a visibility float (swim buoy), we will have small ones to minimize drag that can be used for the race.  Hydration and Nutrition stops will be provided at three locations along the course. Join us for this year’s WOCA's Run, Rock, & Stroll, a special event held to support the ovarian cancer community throughout Wisconsin. This event is open to everyone, regardless of experience levels. The start line for the half will be at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Riders Club Road in Onalaska, WI, (just past the Omni Center and near the Onalaska YMCA). The Francis Creek Lion's Club is holding the annual "Trek The Creek Scott Bohman Memorial Family Run/Walk" on September 12, 2026. We are proud to host this event in honor of the race founder, Scott Bohman.  The event will be held at Pla-Mor park in Francis Creek, WI and will prominently feature the Devil's River State Recreational Trail. The first Saturday after Labor Day has the scenic town of Elroy, Wisconsin, sponsoring its very own Apple Dumpling Days. As part of the festivities, The Elroy Lions Club hosts the Elroy Apple Dumpling Day Races. The first races were in 2007 with a 5K and a single kids race. The Apple Dumpling Day Races expanded in 2008 and added a very successful ½ marathon and an additional kids race for the very young. In 2013, a certified full marathon was added to the venue.
