In 2025, Happy Soles participants helped Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry purchase 3.5 million pounds of food to feed over 50,000 households. Annual MI Hot Dog Mile

The Hot Dog Mile is an annual event celebrating hot dogs and regular dogs, dreamed up by the runners of Eastern Market Brewing Run Club. Participants eat four dogs and run four 1/4 mile laps- it's as simple as that! All proceeds after race costs are donated to a local Detroit Dog Rescue! It's like a beer mile, but with hot dogs! 4 hot dogs, 4 quarter mile laps, hopefully no puking and some beers at the end. a great hang-out to support dogs, eat hot dogs, have some beers and enjoy a lovely Sunday at Eastern Market! DIRT SEASON IS COMING! Thanks for stopping by to check out the 2026 Because Trails Ladies MTB Camp scheduled for June 12-14. We hope you can join us on the amazing trails of Marquette, Michigan for skill building and on the trail learning with professional mountain bike instructors from across the region. Any woman 18 and over, including those new to the bike who want to improve their riding in a supportive, fun environment are welcome to attend. This is not a fitness camp, it is a skills camp focused on helping you become a better rider and comfortable on varied terrain. Class 1 e-bikes welcome. Marquette's NTN Trails will provide diverse ride options and the Because Trails MTB Camp coaches will cater riding and skills progression to attendees. Cereal City Athletics Youth Tri Club

Middle School and High School Youth are invited to join their own Cereal City Triathlon training group.  The training will last six weeks, culminating with the Cereal City Triathlon on July 18th, 2026.  Registration for the Cereal City Athletics Youth Tri Club includes a training schedule and coaches for six weeks.  Focus will be spent on confidence in open water swimming, understanding and practicing transitions, and safety while cycling on the road.  Each triathlete is required to bring his/her own bike helmet and swim buoy (available as a registration add on) to each training session.  Participants must register separately for the Cereal City Triathlon.  They will have the option of training for the "Sprint" distance or the "Super Sprint" distance based upon their skill level and the recommendation from their coaches.   Kids MUST know how to swim in order to participate in this group. 2026 Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival

The Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival is back as a Poker Run in 2026! For riders, there will be the option of a short, long, and adventure route. Once again, the short and long courses are open for runners to sign up as well! Each route will have multiple poker chip stations at random locations. Participants will race along Silver Beach, Lions Park Beach and Howard Recreational Trail and then through the Whirlpool Compass Fountain. The race begins and ends at the Margaret Upton Arboretum. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. The non-competitive 1K fun run (0.62 miles) begins prior to the 5K. With volunteers cheering along the way, the children will follow a paved sidewalk and safe route. This year's event will begin and end at Lincoln Yard in Birmingham.  The 30-mile route departs at 6:30 PM and is for experienced riders, keeping a fast pace around 18 miles/hour. This ride is not for the faint of heart, so please only choose this distance if you are a seasoned rider and can stay with the group. Casual riders are encouraged to choose the 10-mile route which will begin at 7 PM. Registration for both events will open at 5:30 PM.All riders will enjoy a post-ride celebration with dinner and a beer at Lincoln Yard upon their return.
