Welcome to Running Wild 5K Run/3K Wacky Scavenger Hunt Walk!  About this Event: The Running Wild 5K Run is professionally chip-timed with disposable chips on park wooded and open field trails, park roads, grass, and gravel. Buckner Park Dash-Kid Race

We are excited to announce The Getting Miles Athletic Club's first annual Fort Wayne Park Race Series. Participants aged 12 and under are eligible to compete in this race series.  The Buckner Park Dash is a one mile race on the recreation trail in Buckner Park. Make sure you arrive early to find a good parking spot, warm up, use the restrooms and pick up your race bib. Series participants need to return their race bibs to the packet pickup station in order to receive points for the race. You will use the same race bib for all the events. Runners will receive a race decal to put on their bib at the finish line.  Be sure to return your race bib to packet pickup after you finish the race. You will use the same bib for the entire season!  We are collecting non-perishable food items to help fill the local food lockers to help local families in need.The Getting Miles Athletic Club is a local organization whose goal is to provide a community for recreational athletes of all levels.   Race

Teter Twilight 5k Run for the Honey

The Teter Twilight 5k Run for the Honey begins at 7:00 pm. This 5k run/jog/walk will be cross-country style along mostly wooded paths that highlight Teter's new and old trails along the scenic White River. Bring the dogs and kids and enjoy a run or leisurely stroll, all while contributing to a good cause. The race will be timed. Every participant will receive a commemorative jar of honey while supplies last. First place in Women, Men, and Youth will receive a medal. The overall winner will receive a week's share of vegetables. All participants will have the option to purchase a commemorative t-shirt. Join us on Saturday, August 15 in downtown Indianapolis for the 2026 Race Away From Domestic Violence 5k, benefiting the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV). This impactful 5k aims to raise awareness of the devastating affects that domestic violence has on our families and communities.  ICADV works for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence – until the violence ends.  Over the past 22 years, ICADV has raised over $400,000 to support survivors with resources and programs that increase their safety and stability including legal, housing and economic supports.  Participants can run, walk or roll through a route beginning at the IUI Michael A. The Tree Trail Trot Race is a beautiful trail run experience on the gently rolling, wooded trails of Salamonie Lake, one of Indiana's Department of Natural Resources State Parks. This 5k race begins and ends at the Wildlife Management Pond located near the modern Campgroup at the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area. New for this year, it will be a chip timed event! This race is made possible through the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services, Inc. A Pancake Breakfast will be served free for participants and a suggested free will donation to the public. Freshly picked sweet corn will be available for purchase during the event. Join us as we celebrate Ryan with the 6th Annual “All Rise for Ryan’s Run for Recovery” on Saturday, September 5 @ 8:00 AM.  Known to some as Ryan and others as Judge Johanningsmeier, he is remembered for the passion he brought to building a stronger community in Knox County.   Ryan established the Knox County Drug Court almost immediately after becoming Judge of Superior Court 2 in 2015, fulfilling a campaign promise.  As Judge he ensured that all parties in his courtroom were treated with fairness and respect.  He worked tirelessly towards community improvement and motivated others to work towards a common goal.   The Knox County Drug Court program has served more than 200 participants, significantly improving the hope and expectation for recovery in our community.  He loved his role as a Drug Court Judge and the opportunity it gave him to guide people from a life of crime in addiction toward a life of recovery.   The Knox County Drug Court Foundation’s mission is to support the

Firefly Six Hour Night Trail Race

Fort Wayne, IN
The Firefly Six Hour Trail Race is a six-hour timed night trail event. Run as many trail laps as you can in six hours.  Participants complete as many laps as they can on the  Franke Park Trail network for up to six hours. The route consists of paved path, gravel and single track dirt trail. Each loop will start/finish at the HUB. Only full loops will count toward your mileage total! The HUB is a multi-use facility built and maintained by the Summit City Singletrack mountain bike riding club. The HUB is equipped with picnic tables and shade triangles. The HUB will also be lit after sunset.  You can find the HUB between the gravel parking lot and Derby Hill.  There will not be an aid station on the course. Bring your own snacks and drinks to keep at the HUB. We encourage you to bring your favorite snacks and drinks to share at the HUB during the race. About the Event:   Stair Climb:  There were 1,980 steps in the Towers that fell on 9/11. That's 17 times up & down 120 stairs  in the Lake Co. Fairgrounds Grandstand.  You will be given 17 pennies, dropping off 1 after each lap completed.  When your pennies are gone, you are finished!  Are you up for the challenge? 1 Mile Non-timed Walk is for those who don't wish to do stairs but still want to participate to honor our 9/11 Heroes.   Participants receive: *  Finisher Medal for FIRST 200 to sign up*  Wristband with the name of a 9/11 Hero, a firefighter or police officer who died on 9/11 & for whom you will be climbing or walking.  We encourage you to look up  your hero & even bring their picture with you.
