Join us at the Annual Tache Realty Wicked Half Marathon in historic Salem, MA!  Participants will have a 4 hour time cap to complete this course. Race for the Refuge The Highland City Striders welcome you to explore the trails at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury, MA! The Race for the Refuge begins at the ARNWR Visitor’s Center and traverses the beautiful trails around the Refuge. The course will lead runners into this idyllic nature refuge, past ponds, through pine and oak forests, and alongside mysterious military bunkers. Course Description The double track trails are hard-packed earth and gravel. It’s a great course for beginner trail runners. For the advanced trail runner, it could be an opportunity for a new PR!  Events The lineup features a 10K (1 loop) and 30K (3 loops) races, and a 6-hour timed event. For the timed courses, runners may do as many loops as desired. A loop must be completed by 3pm to be counted towards final mileage. The mission of the Dolphin Dash is to reduce or eliminate athletic, marching band and color guard user fees for Dennis-Yarmouth High School Students. A committee of dedicated volunteers is working diligently to organize the DOLPHIN DASH 5K ROAD RACE to raise money for the purpose of eliminating high school student user fees.  We would also like to use this unique opportunity to showcase and celebrate the Dennis-Yarmouth school community and the great things happening in all of our schools.  We want this to become an annual D-Y DAY & Showcase Celebration. We are thrilled to announce the sixth annual DEF Dash 5K - A LIVE, IN-PERSON 5K RUN OR WALK!  After 10 successful years' operating Bernie’s Run, the Dedham Education Foundation launched the first annual “DEF Dash 5K” from Barnes Memorial Park in October 2019. The 15th Annual Nantucket Half Marathon! Sunday, October 11th, 2026 at 8:00 am The Nantucket Half Marathon is one of the most scenic half marathon courses on the East Coast!  Runners' World recognized the Nantucket Half Marathon as one of the nation's top ten beach town races!  Set on iconic Nantucket Island, the course travels through sandy beach roads, bike paths, lightly traveled neighborhood streets, a few patches of sand, and features incredible ocean views. The 2025 race was challenging with high wind and an impending storm.  The route begins and ends at historic Bartlett's Farm and highlights the Nantucket Land Bank's Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve.  The Preserve is a globally rare sand plain grassland ecosystem.  There is also a free kids fun run!  Each kid gets a treasured Bartlett's Farm pumpkin!  There will not be a Quarter Marathon Option this year, so start training- you will have to run the entire course!  This is one of the best half marathon's

Jog Your Memory 5K, Inc. was founded in 2014 by Jess Rice and her husband Bob.  Since then, the Jog Your Memory Board has grown to eight, dedicated members, who are all-in to help fight Alzheimer's.  The non-profit hosts a 5K race and walk every year out of Needham in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's research and caregiver reprieve. To date, they have raised over $2.35 million; for the past twelve years, 80% has gone to research, and 20% has been set aside for a Caregiver Grant - a reserve used for those caring for loved ones who might need a little extra incentive to get the help they need. The 2026 5K run and 1.5-Mile walk for Alzheimer's will offer flexible options. Our 13th Annual race will be held in-person in Needham on Sunday, October 18th and a virtual option will be available for those who are unable to make our in-person event. We Get To Do This!We're back again for 2023 and can't wait to see you! We will have the original one-loop 10 miler and the three-loop 50k. We have increased registrations to 300, hoping for our biggest year yet. This is a loop trail race with a nice mixture of paved, rail trails, single and double track. The course is great for people looking to explore trail running for the first time with enough challenging parts to test more seasoned runners. The Powisset (pronounced “po-wiss-it”) Farm Trail Run is part of the Barn to Run Trail Race Series and the fall edition of this event takes place Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Powisset Farm in Dover, MA.  The event includes running the trails of Powisset Farm and neighboring Noanet Woodlands and offers 4 race distances to choose from — 8.6, 5.6, 3.1 and 1.5 miles.  This is a popular event with experienced and novice trail runners alike. The Esplanade Association (EA) invites YOU to enjoy a new season and new pace to support the same great cause! Rather than spring, we scheduled the annual 5K on Sunday, October 25—with hopes that a free parking day in the City of Boston amid fall foliage is a great opportunity to costume up and celebrate fitness and community in the park before Halloween! Building on the successful history of our beloved 5K Race, we are also introducing a dedicated Walk in succession to the annual Run. The GenesisHR Battlegreen Run will be celebrating the 31st RUNNING of this race on Sunday, November 1, 2026 in Lexington, MA! Since its inception in 1996, the GenesisHR Battlegreen Run has been established as one of the most popular road race events in New England. This race event is unlike any other racing event from start to finish. Join us as the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity’s Boston Chapter hosts the ninth annual Ryan Shaw Memorial 5K run/walk along the Charles River in Boston in remembrance of our brother and friend Ryan Scott Shaw. Ryan passed away at the age of 18 on May 9th, 2016 shortly after being diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. The Ryan Shaw Memorial 5K run/walk aims to preserve Ryan's legacy through this memorial event.

These races and walks have raised the initial funds for the Academy of Notre Dame Rachel Morrison Science Lab.  With the Science Lab now completed, the money raised will be used to fund the annual Rachel Morrison Scholar/Athlete Award and also the Rachel Morrison Science Scholarship Fund.  This run was done each year around Thanksgiving by Rachel and her friends on her high school cross country course at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough, MA. Rachel had hoped to establish an annual alumni run similar to those held at nearby high schools.  She and her friends brought cans of food and other non-perishable food items to the run to be distributed to a local food pantry.   Now we run to remember Rachel.  Rachel was a 4th year PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla CA until her tragic death from a hit and run drunk driver on the night of March 28, 2014 in the city of Del Mar, CA.
