Ryleigh Meree Stegall was born on November 20, 1996. During the summer prior to her fourth birthday, her parents, Steven and Michelle Stegall, received the news that Ryleigh had Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. She endured chemotherapy, radiation and bone marrow transplants. She was able to begin kindergarten in 2002, but by the following March a relapse occurred. For the next four years Ryleigh was home-schooled by her Nana and Papa Billy (Dean and Billy Stegall). During their many walks and special field trips, Ryleigh developed a love of butterflies. Ryleigh died on Septermber 14, 2007. Her parents and her siblings, Keerstin and Chandler, were heartbrokent. From the day she was diagnosed, the overwhelming show of love, concern, and generosity surrounded the Stegall Family. The continuous support during her battle inspired the creation of the Butterfly Foundation in October of 2007. The first event was held in Waynesboro on November 20, 2007. The purpose of the Butterfly Foundation is to distribute financial assistance to families who have children with life-threatening or life-altering illnesses. As of September, 2026 $1.6 Million Dollars have been provided to more than 473 children and their families in Wayne County and the surrounding areas. Glow Dog Glow is a vibrant nighttime run supporting the Humane Society of Dickson County, featuring the Meow Mile (say that five times fast!). On June 13th, we’ll light up Industrial Park, starting at the shelter. The Meow Mile begins at 7:30 PM, followed by the 5K at 7:45. It’s a glowing event for pets, families, and runners (and walkers!) of all experiences. Please Note: This first year is not chip-timed or certified, but next year we’ll be ready to go official!

For the first time, UltraTrax is heading to Loretta Lynn’s legendary ranch. Set among the rolling hills of rural Tennessee, the property features miles of established trails alongside Hurricane Creek and has long been home to trail rides and outdoor events. Expect a course that moves between wooded trails, rolling terrain, open countryside, and quiet stretches that feel a world away from the everyday. Whether you’re here to walk 7 miles or push all the way to 28, the challenge is yours to define. 10 hours. One 7-mile loop. Four distances. How far will you go? Complete your goal within the 10-hour event window. Want another layer of challenge? Take it on with a 10, 20, or 35 lb. ruck or weighted vest. The course will be clearly marked from start to finish, with well-stocked aid stations positioned along the route to keep you fueled and moving. UltraTrax is not a race, but it is a timed endurance event. You’ll have up to 10 hours to complete your chosen distance. Move at your pace. Take breaks when you need them. Then keep going. The sweetest race you’ll ever run!  It's the Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce’s 30th Annual RC Cola – MoonPie 10 Mile and 5K certified races! It will be held Saturday, June 20th, in historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee, and we're having a party! Registration is online only on RunSignUp.com. Registration is currently open and is limited to the first 1,100 runners, so preregistration is encouraged.  Both the 10 Mile Run and the 5K start times are at 7:00 AM.   Packet pick-up is in downtown Bell Buckle on Friday, June 19th, from 3-7 PM and on race day from 5:30 am to 6:45 am. The Bear Track is a 6-mile trail race that benefits the Friends of Rocky Fork State Park organization. This is a State of Franklin Track Club event that is part of the Trail Series. The course is a 3 mile out and back on a logging road. The first and last half mile of the course runs parallel to the lovely Rocky Fork Creek. The race begins at 9 AM, with a 3-hour time limit in place. Parking will be at the main Rocky Fork parking area. Results will be used as part of the trail series. Rocky Fork State Park is one of Tennessee's most beautiful state parks. Background: Since 2015, Dash to the Door, a 3-mile walk or 5K run through Beersheba Springs, has been our largest annual fundraiser. Beersheba Springs is perched on the bluffs of the South Cumberland Plateau and is surrounded by natural attractions of TN’s largest state park with waterfalls, scenic panoramas, walking trails and rock formations, including the Great Stone Door, our race’s namesake. For generations, many have come to Beersheba Springs for the beauty and unique community found here. Located in one of the poorest counties of Tennessee, many local residents can’t afford medical care. In 2010 the community established the Beersheba Springs Medical Clinic, a non-profit facility to provide medical services at no cost to an average of 1,000 patients per year from more than 17 counties. A dental clinic was added in June 2019 bringing much-needed services to the community. Donations and grants support the clinic. We just increased our operations from two days a week to FOUR days a week at the end of last year! Even with our expansion, we provide patient care and life-saving medication for each patient for just over $500 per year on average. We are proud to have an efficient and effective way of providing care through the support of our volunteer physicians and networks.

Runners!  The Few. The Proud.     We are changing up the course and adding new mud to your old mud favorites!! This course will be CHALLENGING. Would you expect anything less from Marines? It consists roughly of 3 miles of off-road running, which entails some obstacles, hills, and of course, mud pits. Wear old clothing and shoes. This off road 5K adventure takes you across scenic trails and fields, obstacles, mud, and water. It is open to individuals and teams. Be prepared for some real clean fun! Showers are  available for those who will need to be cleansed afterwards...Marines will make sure you successfully complete their course! The Annual Newbern Depot Days 5K Race and Fitness walk is in remembrance of Reverend George Butler and Bart Williams, who began overseeing this race over three decades ago, were dedicated to ensuring the race was held annually, regardless of the number of participants. In their honor, we are continuing this tradition, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the George Butler Memorial Food Pantry and the Loads of Love Laundry ministry of the Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian church. This pantry and laundry ministry, operated by community volunteers, is located at the Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where Reverend Butler served as pastor and Bart, a devoted member, for over 30 years.
