Ireland's Dream is a 501c3 that supports children and families living with cerebral palsy. We are building a therapy center with state of the art care that is oftentimes not covered by insurance, but will be accessible by all. Join us for the 6th Annual Pi Day 5k on March 13, 2027! Join us for the Pi Day 5k, taking place on Saturday March 13 at Hawk Island Park. This event raises money for Impression 5 Science Center's scholarship program. Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science together. By participating in this event, you’ll support their scholarship programs, which increase access to their exhibits and experiences for children and families throughout our community. Join us for the Clare Irish Festival Road Race on Saturday, March 13th, 2027. This will also mark the 52nd year for the Clare Irish Festival! This year's race will again begin at Clare High School!! The Clare High School address is: 306 Schoolcrest Ave. Clare, MI 48617 The race features a 5K Run, 10K Run, and 2 Mile Walk. The 10K Run will start at 9:00am, the 5K run will start at 9:05am, and the 2 Mile walk will begin at 9:15am. All races will feature chip timing for both the start and the finish. The start/finish line is in front of Clare High School. T-Shirts are limited to the first 400 participants to sign up, and each participant in the 5K, 10K, or 2 Mile walk will also receive a free pancake breakfast. On Dec 26, 2018 this unfortunate statistic affected Adam Holten, his family, extended family, friends and the community. We lost a very good person to suicide. Adam affected many people’s lives with his presence, his smile, his laughter, his handshakes and his ability to reach out and lift other people up.   Since his passing we have created a non profit organization: Strides for Adam. April 11th   About This Event:The Kal-Haven Trail Run is the Southwest Michigan Hometown Ultra, a great first ultra for anyone looking to expand their running beyond 26.2 miles, and a great hometown ultra to keep challenging yourself to a new PR every year. If an ultra is not for you, this run allows participants from all fitness levels to be involved as a 2-person relay team (duo), or 3-6 person relay team. Shake off those winter cobwebs and run the relay with your best run friends!!   The KAR Kal-Haven Ultra Run will be held on the Kal-Haven Trail State Park, offering a scenic, gently downhill run from “the Caboose” in Kalamazoo to South Haven (almost to the beach, but not quite).  There are ten aid stations that will energize runners with food, hydration, and awesome encouragement. These stations also provide runners with relay switch points while also supporting an opportunity for “fans” to support their runners. What is the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon benefiting LivFree? Here’s how it all works - the event is a continuous game with 60 to 90 skaters playing on two teams in 3 rotating groups based on ability with a running score from opening puck drop to the final horn. Each player raises $1000 dollars for the cause. LivFree is a pediatric cancer non-profit organization that provides children and their families with moments of joy to take a break from struggle and enjoy some family time together. Strength and speed are weighted equally. 1. Deficit Deadlift Rules Equipment: DefiPlate™ 45 lb plates create a 4” deficit (5" starting bar height). Deadlifts will be performed on 29 mm stiff power bars with collars. Attempts: Each athlete receives 3 attempts. The minimum increase between successful attempts is 10 lb. Opening attempts must be submitted at registration. Starting Position: All conventional and sumo stances and grips are permitted. Lift Command: Athletes may begin their attempt after receiving the judge’s signal. Completion: The athlete must reach a clearly established standing lockout with knees and hips extended and demonstrate control of the weight before receiving the down command* *you may hold a completed deadlift for as long as you like at the top. The money raised from the Rat Race will now go right back to BR athletics in attempts to improve our athletic facilities, keep highly qualified coaching staff, provide equipment for our athletes, provide an athletic trainer at all home events as well as help cover the cost for opportunities for our athletes to improve their skills and abilities outside the typical season.  This is a fundraising event so in efforts to keep cost low this will not be a chipped event. Runners will all have a BIB and the race will be timed. There are opportunities for individuals to get involved that are not interested in running too, check our sponsorship donations :). Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay – April 25, 2026 Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay is a one-of-a-kind spring ultramarathon in Michigan’s Thumb. On Saturday, April 25, 2026, runners and ruckers will take on the challenge of racing from Lake Huron in Harbor Beach to Saginaw Bay in Caseville in the 50 Mile division—or team up with friends for the 50 Mile Relay. The 50K features a flat out-and-back course starting and finishing in Caseville. This race offers the rare opportunity to run point-to-point across the Thumb on mostly dirt and unimproved rural roads. With just 500 feet of elevation gain in the 50 Mile and 300 feet in the 50K, it’s a course that is both approachable for first-time ultrarunners and fast enough for seasoned athletes looking to chase a personal best. The events provided aid in the recovery from physical and emotional injuries sustained during conflict deployments and service to our country. The significance of the 30 Mile Army Ultra Challenge represents the 20 soldiers we lose to suicide each day plus the 10's of thousands of people effected by those tragedies.
