Celebrating its 44th Anniversary, the Bayshore Marathon has become a “must run” for runners throughout the Midwest and beyond. Many runners return year after year to enjoy the scenic courses which run along the shores of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. Hosted by Traverse City Track Club, Bayshore features a 10K, half marathon a full marathon, and a kids 1.2 mile fun run. The number of runners in all three races is limited to ensure a more enjoyable experience. Traverse City Track Club uses proceeds from Bayshore to sponsor many running and health related activities in and around Northwest Michigan.

Top of Michigan Festival of Races includes a series of races that benefit the Top of Michigan Trails Council and the Petoskey High School Track and Cross Country teams.    The course is run along the Little Traverse Wheelway, a non-motorized trail that runs from Charlevoix, through Petoskey/Bay Harbor and onto Harbor Springs. This year, our course will be out and backs from Petoskey's waterfront. The trail is an excellent venue for runners. The trail is relatively flat and has spectacular views of the Little Traverse Bay. Please note that there are a few off road sections of this route, on grass and dirt. The Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k start and end in Petoskey. About This Event: Join us for the 31st annual Run To Climax!  This is a scenic Memorial Day race with profits going to our local elementary school. Your participation helps fund materials and activities provided by the Climax-Scotts PTO. Thank you for your support! Come for the run, stay for more fun! ITFD Firefighter Memorial Run

The Ishpeming Township Fire Department is hosting our 2nd Annual ITFD Firefighter Memorial run fundraising event at 1 p.m. on June 7th, 2026 at Westwood High School. The 5K route is on both roads and singletrack. (Rocks and roots on trail) 1 mile walk will be held on the track. Kids fun run will also be held on the track before the start of the 5K and 1 mile walk.  Be sure to bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun while supporting your local volunteer fire department!  First Responder's will receive a special shirt and discount on the race fee. Mighty Milers (Grayling Cross Country Running Club)

WHO CAN JOIN? This group is open to any child going into 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade for 2026-27 School year.    WHAT IS IT?  This is a fundamentally based running club which will focus on fun exercise and light-hearted competition through team games and activities.  Children are broken into small groups for the “long run”, which ranges from ¼ mile to 2-mile distance (depending on age and ability).   WHEN DO WE MEET? Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm to 5pm.   Season dates:  June 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18.  RAGNAR RACE June 20   WHERE DO WE MEET?  We will meet at HANSON HILLS RECREATION AREA.
