Run it, hike it, and rock it on the trails of beautiful El Moro Canyon. Treat yourself to a 6K or 10 mile run or hike with challenging climbs, descents and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. There's nothing like reaching the finish line on a course like this! The Sacramento Area Section is hosting a 5k Event for CWEA Members, Friends, and Family. This event is to follow the closing sessions of AC26.  This 5k is on a fully paved course at North Natomas regional park. All athletic abilities are welcome, you can walk or run the 5k. This event is officially sanctioned and insured with USA track and field. It will be hosted and timed by Azteca FC. Official results and race day photos will be available to all participants after the race has concluded.  EMS services will be provided by Versa Care. Top 3 overall female and male finishers will receive a medal. Top 3 finishers in each gender and age group will receive a ribbon.

Support SAPR for Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a 18-hole Golf Tournament. Scramble Rules apply! Gather your foursome and compete for prizes. Event registration includes a buffet lunch at the Golf Clubhouse and prize opportunities. Lunch buffet will be fried chicken with mashed potatoes, veggies, rolls and a fountain drink.  Prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, overall winning team, and opportunity drawings at lunch time.  Pre-arranged foursomes encouraged, however open to all singles, doubles, etc (will be paired up with others to create a foursome). Towards the end of registration, you will be asked for your team name. Please make sure all players input same team name to be paired up together.

The William Northrup School Fun Run is a schoolwide fundraising event that brings students, families, and our community together for a day of movement, teamwork, and school spirit. Each student will participate in the Fun Run and has a personal fundraising page to invite friends and family to support their effort. The Mark Keppel Alliance is a non-profit organization that advocates for Mark Keppel High School and fundraises in order to enhance the students’ education and engagement. Their mission is to raise money to support academics and sports programs that the school district cannot fund. Anyone who wants to do a 5 kilometer run/walk, support the students, and feel the community’s spirit surrounding such an event can do so at the Fear the Spear 5k. All proceeds generated from the run will benefit academics, sports, and the clubs that students participate in at Mark Keppel.  We encourage everyone to be a part of the 5k experience and sign up!

Black Maternal Health Week 2026 is almost here! April 11-17th is Black Maternal Health Week and we are hosting our 4rd annual 5K Walk to help raise awareness.. The Black infant and maternal mortality crisis in the U.S. is a national issue. Beauty for Ashes Maternal Wellness Inc .is hosting a 5K Walk to raise awareness, and to raise funds to provide support to families in need. Black women and birthing people are 3-4 times more likely to die from pregnancy related causes and complications than their white counterparts. Most pregnancy related deaths are preventable. Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, such as structural racism, implicit bias, variation in quality healthcare, and underlying chronic conditions. Social determinants of health have historically prevented many people from racial and ethnic minority groups from having fair opportunities for economic, physical, and emotional health. Join us for the 4th Annual Mother Lode Earth Day 5k Run/Walk. This race will benefit the Amador High School Cross Country program, along with Small Change 4 Big. There will also be a 2 mile walk as an alternative to the 5k run, and race T-Shirts will be provided at the event check-in for all paid participants. This spring, racing fans and runners of all skill levels and ages will have the opportunity to “run the course” at the 8th Annual Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach 5K on April 12, 2026, which will benefit local charities through the Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach. Participants will run a two-lap tour of the world-famous Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach racecourse including Pine Avenue and Seaside Way, with the finish at the official Grand Prix start/finish line on Shoreline Drive. Kids 12 and under can get in on the action with the Kids’ Turbo 1K, which will take place after the main races on a portion of the regular racecourse. The other two races will be the Elite/Pro 5K (those who can finish the race in under 25 minutes) which will start at 7:00 a.m. and the run for the general public, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Each runner will receive a finisher medal, an official Grand Prix Foundation 5K t-shirt, post-race refreshments and two complimentary Friday general admission tickets to th

Join us in supporting sobriety one stride at a time. Enjoy a four mile one-way run/walk, mostly along the beach bike path, from Valley Park in Hermosa Beach to an AA meeting (starting at 10am) in the sand in Redondo Beach. No medals. No chip timing. No swag. And no fees!  This free community-building event is hosted by Strides in Recovery. We are a local nonprofit which helps newly sober individuals grow physically, emotionally and mentally stronger so they can do their best at the hard work of recovery. We achieve these results by coaching people in Los Angeles County addiction treatment programs to complete events ranging from 5Ks to full marathons.

The Daffodil race has been a staple for the Nevada County community for many, many years. Offering a 5K and a 10K, the routes travel through the quaint little town of Penn Valley and across the green rolling hills on country roads. The 5K travels along the edge of Western Gateway Park, past the dog park, and finally to the park and ride for a quick turnaround for a return to the finish. The 10K begins the same as the 5K, but will take a detour through the park before heading to the park and ride. During the return, the 10K turns right and weaves through the rural countryside of Penn Valley before racing back to the finish.  Penn Valley is known for its daffodils and green grass, and if the timing is right, runners will get to see both. April lends towards cooler temps, so runners can experience energy from the springtime air and community. The Youth Splash and Dash is our first  swim & run for kids ages 6-14. Come celebrate our first event with a full size finish line with snacks and finisher certificates and hang out with their friends.  This would be an introductory event that would prepare the kids for their first triathlon/aquathlon.The main goal is to wake up the outdoor spirit in our little athletes and walk them through the transition in this type of sport that is lately gaining in popularity. Distances are short and intended simply to expose our youngest athletes to the basic elements of two legs of triathlon.  The swim will take place in the Washington pool, which has 25 yard lanes. Ages 6-10 will do 4 lengths, and ages 11-14 will do 8 lengths. Volunteers will help count laps. The transition from swim to run will take the youth to the picnic area before doing a loop around a nearby section of campus.
