Two Face 10K gives you the option to race road, trail, or road + trail! Held annually in August in beautiful North Park from Olympia Shelter, this event is a dual race that combines a 10K Road race, followed by a 10K Trail race. Welcome to our fifth annual AmeriServ Worth the Weight Race set to take place Saturday, August 8th in Old Westmont. We offer 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run (WTW Kids!), and virtual options. Worth the Weight Kids! will start at 8 AM and our adult races (5K run/walk and 10K) will start at 8:15 AM. Location is the same: 827 Diamond Blvd. Johnstown, PA 15905 (bathrooms will be available on-site). All routes will feature the quaint and scenic neighborhood of Old Westmont and was recently updated last year to include the beautiful Inclined Plane! On Thursday, August 26, 2027, at 6:00 p.m., Thorncroft Equestrian Center will host our 5K Trail Run and One-Mile Move-As-You-Please for the Farm at Thorncroft, located at 190 Line Road in Malvern, PA. We invite you back to our beautiful 70-acre property to experience a community health and wellness celebration perfect for the beginner to experienced mover. After-party includes live music, food trucks, beer garden (complimentary for participants 21+-Must have valid photo ID.) and herd member meet-and-greets n our barn. Lace up your running shoes to run or walk with Scouting America’s Great Falls Council! The 3rd annual Adventure Awaits 5k is open to all ages, and beginners are welcome. As you walk or run, you will be able to take in the scenery and atmosphere at Riverfront Park. This is a great way for avid runners, walkers, and families to get outdoors and support Scouting in their community. Strollers are welcome. Please no dogs allowed. The race will be held at the Riverfront Park in Sayre Borough, Pennsylvania with a mix of trail and road experience. Restrooms are available, and there will be at least one water stop along the race from local Scouts. Pre-race packet pick up will be held on Friday, August 28th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm (Location TBD). Day-of packet pick up will take place from 7:30 am to 8:15 am. There is a flag ceremony from local Scouts to kick off the morning at 8:30 am. Followed by the Kids Fun Run at 8:45 am. Then the 5k run/walk begins at 9:00 am. Early registration through RunSignup is encouraged for a reduced fee of $25. Receive a free race t-shirt if you register by August 1st! Registration at packet pick up is $30. For Friday 8/28 and Saturday 8/29, only cash or checks are accepted. An awards ceremony will follow shortly after the race, with awards for the top men's and women's categories for the following age groups: under 12, 13-15, 16-22, 23-30, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above. We currently serve over 5,000 youth across the six districts in our council. This race is hosted in Bradford County, which is a part of the Winding Rivers District of Great Falls Council. The Winding Rivers District serves over 470 Scouts and recruits year-round. Money raised from this race will help keep costs down for families and help provide a program that youth can use throughout their lives. Scouts is open to all youth ages 5-17 with opportunities to join a Venture Crew until age 21. Nestled among rolling hills and dense forest, the Marilla Reservoir in Bradford, PA provides the perfect backdrop for trail racing. With both 7 mile and 14 mile courses, the Marilla Trail Race offers the opportunity for beginners, hard-core trail runners, and everyone in-between to take advantage of Bradford's world-class wilderness. Clearly marked trails take runners over a variety of terrain- gravel paths, dirt trails, and winding single track, with aid stations spread throughout. Except for a single road crossing, the 14 mile course is 100% off-road, and the same goes for the 7 mile route. While the courses are mostly non-technical, be prepared for intense elevation changes on the rolling hills and some winding single track. The race features state-of-the-art chip timing by Score This!!! and the historic covered bridge serves as the finish point for both distances. Then after the race, stick around for food, awards, and door prizes! All proceeds from the Marilla Trail Race will go to benefit the Tuna Valley Trail Association and their ongoing commitment to the development and maintenance of trails locally in the Tuna Valley.
