The 22nd annual Perry Wellington Turkey Trot Race consists of a rolling 5 mile run, 2.5 mile run and 2.5 mile walk. One of our most popular family events for locals and those visiting from out of town. **RACE DISTANCE CHANGES FOR 2025 5 mile (was 4.5m) & 2.5 mile (was 2m).** REGISTRATION: PLEASE REGISTER EARLY as t-shirts will be provided to the first 500 registered racers. Online registration closes at 11:00am on Friday, November 28. Racers must wear race number to show that you are a race participant. You will have a certain color bib pertaining to what race you are participating in. If you want to change races, you may do so by calling the Blair Regional YMCA at 695-4467 before race day. NO CHANGES ON RACE DAY! If you lose your bib or need a new one issued, for any reason, there will be a $5 fee assessed. For safety reasons, headsets of any kind and pets are not permitted. NO race registration reimbursements. Remember, if you cannot make it to the event, your registration fee is going towards a good cause. COURSE INFORMATION: 5 Mile Run: (was 4.5 mile) The 5m course will start at the YMCA and run up Brush Mountain Road and take the scenic route of Hollidaysburg. The last part of the run will make a left onto Hart Street from Union Street. There will be a road marshal to help direct runners. Start/Finish will be at the old main entrance to the YMCA. 2.5 Mile Run/Walk: (was 2 mile) The 2.5 Mile course has some changes from previous years. This course runs through the Hollidaysburg community. It begins with a challenging hill, but then is flat through the finish. 2.5 Mile runners will be facing the opposite direction of the 5 Mile runners at the start. You will start 1 minute ahead of the walkers. Make sure you stand in front of the walkers, they will have a different color bib number on. Walkers will be positioned behind the 2.5 Mile Runners and start 1 minute behind. Walkers are absolutely not allowed to run at any time! You will have a different color bib on than the runners. Road marshals will ask you to walk if you are seen running. If you would like to run/walk, sign up for the 2.5 Mile Run as you are more than welcome to run/walk! RACE PACKET PICK-UP: Race packets will be available for pick up Friday, November 28th from 5am to 9pm at the Blair Regional YMCA. You may also pick-up your packet on race day here as well. AWARDS: Awards will be given out immediately following the race. We will be awarding medals for the following categories: 5 mile run the top 3 overall (male & female) finishers, 2.5m run & 2.5m walk overall (male & female) finishers Awards will also be given out to the top three male and female finishers in the 5m run, 2.5m run, and 2.5m walk in the following age categories: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over Ceremony as no awards will be mailed. Award winners are asked to remain for the awards ceremony. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are looking for volunteers to help as road marshals along the race course. As a road marshal you will receive a race t-shirt and food after the race. Ask a friend, family member or co-worker to come along with you and enjoy all the excitement of helping out and cheering on the race participants! Join us for the annual Truthahntrab 5K and support the Knoch cross country and track teams while experiencing the charm of Saxonburg! Mark your calendars for 9am November 28th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. All proceeds will directly support the Knoch cross country and track and field programs. Your strides will not only carry you towards the finish line but will also pave the way for promising athletes to pursue their passions. "Truthahntrab," meaning "Turkey Trot" in German, captures the essence of our Germanic roots dating back to 1832 when the town was settled by German immigrants. You'll have the chance to earn unique turkey-themed race awards and refuel with post-race snacks including: Bavarian soft pretzels, hot chocolate and coffee. Compete in the 5K or the 1K Fun Run. We are adding additional awards for our popular team division which is a perfect opportunity to run/walk with family, friends, and co-workers while enjoying the picturesque countryside. The 5K is a scenic out-and-back course. Start at Roebling Park and take a lap around town before heading out to the former Saxony Farms' rolling pastures and lake before returning and finishing at the park. The course is almost entirely paved with the exception of a short gravel area near the turnaround/lake. The 1K will start shortly after the 5K start and complete one lap around town before finishing at the park. All 1K finishers receive a turkey trot ribbon! After the race, be sure to visit charming Main Street as we prepare to kickoff Small Business Saturday. When you finish, you'll get to choose one of those--with a special "Leftover Run" plaque on the back! Will I get a T-shirt? When you pick up your bib, you'll get to choose from all of our leftover T-shirts or a RUNegades' buff or socks. Do you have any course maps? Yes! There are no refunds or deferrals, but you may transfer your bib to another runner for a $15 transfer fee. Is there a course time-limit? We ask that you are off course by 12 pm Will the trail be closed to the public? The Audubon Loop and SRT are public trails and we cannot close them to the public for our events. Are dogs and/or strollers permitted on the trail? The trail is open to the public, so dogs and strollers are permitted. However, pursuant to PA state law, all dogs MUST be leashed. If you run with your dog you take full responsibility for your dog's actions. We ask that you do not run with a dog who is not used to group runs. Can I join as part of team? Yes! When you register, you'll be asked if you want to start or join a team. You don't have to, but it will be fun! How many water stations will there be? For the half, there will be water stations roughly every 2 to 2.5 miles. You will pass 5 on course. There will be one for the 4.1 miler. Garbage cans will be set up roughly 75 yards past each water station. Where/when can I pick up my packet? You can pick up your packet the day before the race (Saturday November 30) from 7 am to 9 am at the Burn off the Bird 5K in Phoenixville. 6th Annual Frosty 5K This road course race will start and finish in beautiful Hoffer Park and participants will traverse the East side of Middletown Borough, Dauphin County's oldest community. Proceeds benefit the Middletown Area Historical Society's mission to COLLECT, PRESERVE & TEACH about the great history of Middletown, PA Dauphin County and the surrounding area. Runners are encouraged to race in their most festive attire: a super ugly sweater, a Santa outfit, a candy cane outfit—or maybe you and your group dress up as a team of elves or reindeer! Both the top finishers and the top costumes, both individuals and teams of three or more, will receive candy cane themed prizes. The Candy Cane 5K is a collaborative event between Cairn University, ChoiceOne, AlphaCare and RUN 12:1 Running Club to raise money for the New Horizon Scholarship Fund at Cairn University. New Horizons is an initiative to provide support to new mothers who chose to give birth even though their educational and career goals would be interrupted by unplanned pregnancy, delivery, and parenthood. 2025 Loop Race! THE LOOP COURSE RETURNS. BMRC is always looking to elevate the race experience! This year we will be adding live tracking at the race with the RACEJOY APP. We will have 2 remote chip timed splits at the ~3 miles and ~ 6 mile marks. If you run with your phone, you'll also be tracked in real time via the app. Family and friends from anywhere can send you encouragement while you are racing the famous Loop Race! For all details please click HERE This 8.4 mile fall classic follows Philadelphia's most beautiful recreational path around the Schuylkill River. Started in 1972 by Dave Brier of the Jewish Y, this race has been a local favorite “cult” race for 53 years. The course is run on the sidewalk and is self contained the whole way and free of any traffic. The course will pass many historic sites including the East Falls Bridge, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Strawberry Mansion Bridge, the Art Museum and Boat House Row. The course is almost entirely flat. Proceeds of the event will benefit the development and maintenance of Fairmount Park, specifically the Belmont Plateau Cross Country courses. Philadelphia Athletic Charities is committed to providing for the upkeep of the Belmont Plateau which is used by thousands of cross country runners. Please note, there are no refunds. COURSE MAP Packet Pickup Packet pickup will ONLY be on site race day beginning at 8 am and closing at 10 am. Please give yourself ample time to find parking and check in. Awards (not applicable to the Virtual event) Cash awards will go to the top 3 overall male and female and overall nonbinary winner finishers along with bonuses for breaking the course record. Age group awards will be awarded in ten year increments, starting at 19 and under and peaking at 70+. The virtual event: For the virtual event, Bryn Mawr Racing/Running Co has been able to recreate the Loop Race experience with our advanced virtual race features. You can run the Loop Race distance ANYWHERE between 11/5/25 to 12/7/25 and get tracked with the Racejoy App. The Racejoy app is provided with your registration fee. The app will allow you be tracked during your 'race' along with virtual cheers, mile marks, music and directions. Once finished, your results will automatically be submitted onto our results pages. Lost Souls - The Race That Finds You Saturday, December 12th, 2026 As many loops as you can in 8 hours Background: Last Trail Standing (November) and Rise Up Hero (May) are awesome sister races along the trails of Settlers Cabin Park that both offer various race distances up to 50K. BUT... I've been wanting to create a different kind of race. One that would truly test people mentally, physically, and emotionally. So...I went searching for the most challenging small loop at Settlers Cabin Park and…I think I found it. A brutal ~5K (unpublished and partly made up) trail loop that climbs roughly 550 feet of elevation every loop. Here's how the race works: You can sign up for the 5K Loopy Loop if you simply want to experience the course and enjoy the challenge. You run 1 loop for the honor of saying you ran the 5K loop from hell. Or… You can sign up for the ENDURE challenge and you do as many loops as you can possibly endure in 8 hours. Unlike backyard ultra formats, you DO NOT have to start each loop on the hour. You start when you think you're ready to take on another soul shattering journey. Runners will work to complete the maximum race distance of 10 loops or as many loops as they can within 8 hours. Each loop brings you back to the start, where you must decide: Do you continue to endure…or do you ring the bell and proudly take your wood chip and loop count with you. The maximum is 10 loops, making it a 50K ultra with ~5,500 feet of elevation gain. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female runners who complete all 10 loops. This race isn't just for ultra runners wanting an incredibly hard 50K challenge. It's also for the people who want to dig deep and see how far they can go. The spirit of the race is to endure for as long as you can. And once you're ready to tap, you ring the bell and you receive a unique keep sake—a reminder of the moment you faced the course, the struggle, and what you discovered about yourself along the way. This is an outdoor heated 25 meter pool. Pool is generally heated to 81-82F. NO TRAFFIC CONTROL WILL BE PROVIDED AND CYCLISTS/RUNNERS WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD. No course markings will be provided, so cyclists should bring GPS directions, or be very familiar with the roads in question. For those wishing not to ride the roads, cycling segments only may be substituted for a stationary ride on your bike trainer (at home or brought on deck). Stationary rides will constitute their own divisions and will be scored separately from road rides. For those racing in the cycling and running portions, you can expect to self report your times. SWIM, BIKE, and RUN MAY BE DONE IN ANY ORDER YOU WISH, but must be completed by 3:30PM the day of the race. All racers will receive a race t-shirt (provided entry is received by 11/12), and a custom French Creek Racing award based on their finish place. Custom awards to top 3 overall and in each age group, in each event. No awards ceremony, but awards are available soon after all results are tabulated. REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is strongly advised as we often sell out in this series. Please arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to your assigned wave time.
