Join us at Graham Park for this Thanksgiving Day Classic supporting the Seneca Valley Cross Country Boosters and Armstrong's Breaking Bread Initiative! Come be part of the largest public 5K in Butler County. Run or walk on this flat & fast USATF certified 5K course. Medals and prizes will be given to each of the Top 3 Overall Male & Female 5K Runners! Restrooms: We will have portable toilets near the start/finish line for our participants. The restroom building next to the pickleball courts will also be available that morning. No other restrooms within the Park will be open due to it being off-season for those other fields.

ABOUT THIS EVENT The 10th Annual Bobcats Turkey Trot 5K is an event organized by the Beaver Bobcats Girls Basketball program. There are two options for this 5K. (1) A chip timed Run/Walk, (2) untimed Fun Run/Walk. Timing provided by Wolf Creek Race Management. The Kiski Valley Turkey Trot 5K Race and 1Mile Fun Run is a community event for the whole family to enjoy this Thanksgiving! This race is for the serious or the casual runners or walkers of all ages. It has become a great family outing to attend before the family gathering for a holiday feast. We are offering an on-site race that is digitally timed by Miles for Smiles on our 5K certified out and back course at Kunkle Park, Apollo PA. In-Person 5K Race and 1Mile Fun Run The 5K in-person race begins at 9am and departs and ends at Kunkle Park, Apollo PA. The 5K is digitally timed and all race awards will be given at the closing ceremony which begins when most runners complete the course. You must be present to receive awards! The 1Mile Fun Run takes place within the park and starts shortly after the 5K. The 1Mile is not a timed event. Snacks and water will be provided. Race packet pickups will be available the evening before the race as well as race morning. Pick up the night before makes race day smoother!! Born in Bristol and raised in Levittown, Officer Gregg was a graduate of Bucks County Community College and Ferris State University. Before joining the force, he owned a contracting business and later pursued his passion for public service through law enforcement. He was known for his courage, compassion, and commitment to protecting his community. Brian left behind his loving wife, Kella Ann Kneubuehl Gregg, and was the devoted father of Kyle Gregg. This year marks 20 years since his passing, a solemn milestone that reminds us not only of his sacrifice but of the enduring legacy he left behind. To this day, Officer Gregg’s name lives on through Brian S. Gregg Memorial Park and the Officer Brian S. Gregg Memorial Bypass, a section of the Newtown Bypass dedicated in his memory—and now, through this new annual tradition Supporting the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund Proceeds from the race will benefit the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund, which provides educational scholarships to the children of local first responders—law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and correctional officers—who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. Friends and family who do not meet the above requirements may run as guests. First guest runners, male and female, will receive separate prizes. They cannot run as a team and will not count in the team scoring. Classifications: Juniors – high school students, per US Rowing juniors definition Masters – men and women, 40 years and over Open – all other eligible runners – men and women not eligible to run masters or juniors divisions Guests – all others. Prize for first guest, male and female, only. Guests not eligible for other prizes. Novice – running in the Turkey Trot for the first time. A trophy and prize is presented to the first male and female novice. Novice is a subcategory, so you enter novice open, novice master or novice junior. The Course The course is 5 and 5/8 miles over hilly terrain. Starting at Malta Boat Club on Kelly Drive, the runners go outbound on Kelly to Brewery Hill, turn right and go up and over Girard Avenue bridge, then right onto Lansdowne Avenue. Just past Sweetbriar cutoff, the course turns right and starts the true “cross country” segment: from here the race is over grassy surface. Runners go to Meade Monument, then follow the cyclone fence to the Pagoda entrance gate, cross thru the service entrance to Belmont Plateau, up the hill to Belmont Mansion, and return by way of Brewery Hill, down Kelly Drive to Malta. Rules Points for team trophies will be scored only by the first five finishers from each club for men's teams and the first three finishers from each club for women's teams. Only those eligible in accordance with the Eligibility Rules will be permitted to run in the race. Anyone running with the wrong number (or someone else’s number) will be disqualified and their team (club) will be assessed an additional 25 points. Award Ceremony The award ceremony will be held at Fairmount Rowing Association this year. Awards will begin at 10:45 am. We thank Fairmount for their hospitality in hosting the awards ceremony.

The Gratitude Run is bigger than 3.1 miles. It's a chance to support a local family who is in need. Our Peters Township community nominates a different family each year to benefit from the race. There are turkey trots all over on Thanksgiving Day. But only the Gratitude Run is a true celebration of compassion. On a day dedicated to giving thanks, we can show our gratitude by joining together to support a family that needs a boost. The course is an out-and-back on a paved portion of the famed, wooded Montour Trail. Enjoy a sprint or a stroll on a crisp autumn morning among a crowd of all ages who share a common love for giving. The Gratitude Run is an outpouring of love that impacts givers and families in need for life. The Gratitude Run is dedicated to fostering a spirit of unity and compassion through our unwavering commitment to supporting a family in our community. What's the meaning of "Sticks and Biscuits"? -- This Thanksgiving 5K is organized by the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club, which uses "Sticks", and "Biscuits" is hockey slang for the puck. The Sticks & Biscuits is one of the most successful Thanksgiving Day 5K's in Central PA. In order to give all participants the best possible experience, this year's race will offer two waves, an 8am start and a 9am start. We will also offer the option of racing virtually for people who are not comfortable racing in person, not in the area, or after the in person field is full. Entries received by midnight on November 11th also get our famous long-sleeve tech shirt! After 11/11, shirts will be available for sale on a first come first serve basis. This year's race helps fund the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club and also benefits local charities. You can start at any time of day, but everyone's time to participate will end at 4:20pm. The Black Friday 100 On Black Friday, November 27th, we will repeat the best-worst idea of running and/or riding 100 miles or some combination thereof on the Fifth Street Cross course. Jake Looney and Finn Harrington came up with this amazing idea in 2021, and we just keep punishing ourselves each year. In fact, nearly 100 of you came out in 2023 and 2024, so I guess you all love it! In addition to cycling, our running community can choose from 10k, 13mi, 26mi, and 50k options! For you super crazies, jump in on the halvsies and combo your effort with a run and ride effort. No one has ever run 50 miles AND ridden 50 miles. Will it be you this year? IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a 6-pack event, so don't forget to bring a 6-pack along with your entry fee if you haven't signed up already. Alternatively, if you are not bringing a 6-pack, you can bring an additional $20 for the prize pot. SCORING The winner of distance events is the first person to reach the goal in their category in the shortest amount of elapsed time. That means we don't care about your ride time; we care about how much time has passed since you started the clock. Example: Rider A starts at midnight and finishes 100 miles at 2pm for a total elapsed time of 14 hours. Rider B starts at 7am and finishes at 4pm for 9 hours. Rider B wins because their elapsed time is less than Rider A, even though Rider A finished earlier in the day. The winner of the timed events is the person who rides/runs the farthest distance in their category based on elapsed time.

The 22nd annual Perry Wellington Turkey Trot Race consists of a rolling 5 mile run, 2.5 mile run and 2.5 mile walk. One of our most popular family events for locals and those visiting from out of town. **RACE DISTANCE CHANGES FOR 2025 5 mile (was 4.5m) & 2.5 mile (was 2m).** REGISTRATION: PLEASE REGISTER EARLY as t-shirts will be provided to the first 500 registered racers. Online registration closes at 11:00am on Friday, November 28. Racers must wear race number to show that you are a race participant. You will have a certain color bib pertaining to what race you are participating in. If you want to change races, you may do so by calling the Blair Regional YMCA at 695-4467 before race day. NO CHANGES ON RACE DAY! If you lose your bib or need a new one issued, for any reason, there will be a $5 fee assessed. For safety reasons, headsets of any kind and pets are not permitted. NO race registration reimbursements. Remember, if you cannot make it to the event, your registration fee is going towards a good cause. COURSE INFORMATION: 5 Mile Run: (was 4.5 mile) The 5m course will start at the YMCA and run up Brush Mountain Road and take the scenic route of Hollidaysburg. The last part of the run will make a left onto Hart Street from Union Street. There will be a road marshal to help direct runners. Start/Finish will be at the old main entrance to the YMCA. 2.5 Mile Run/Walk: (was 2 mile) The 2.5 Mile course has some changes from previous years. This course runs through the Hollidaysburg community. It begins with a challenging hill, but then is flat through the finish. 2.5 Mile runners will be facing the opposite direction of the 5 Mile runners at the start. You will start 1 minute ahead of the walkers. Make sure you stand in front of the walkers, they will have a different color bib number on. Walkers will be positioned behind the 2.5 Mile Runners and start 1 minute behind. Walkers are absolutely not allowed to run at any time! You will have a different color bib on than the runners. Road marshals will ask you to walk if you are seen running. If you would like to run/walk, sign up for the 2.5 Mile Run as you are more than welcome to run/walk! RACE PACKET PICK-UP: Race packets will be available for pick up Friday, November 28th from 5am to 9pm at the Blair Regional YMCA. You may also pick-up your packet on race day here as well. AWARDS: Awards will be given out immediately following the race. We will be awarding medals for the following categories: 5 mile run the top 3 overall (male & female) finishers, 2.5m run & 2.5m walk overall (male & female) finishers Awards will also be given out to the top three male and female finishers in the 5m run, 2.5m run, and 2.5m walk in the following age categories: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over Ceremony as no awards will be mailed.
