Support the Saint Marys Police of Saint Marys, GA, and their K-9 Units by participating in our fun-filled event!  New in 2025, we've added a 10K race alongside our classic 5K and a 1-mile youth race(13&under). All registered by May 30th will get a T-Shirt & SwagRegister your K-9 to also get a bandanna for your K-91 mile youth race for ages up to 13 years of age. We are raising money to support the K-9 Unit of the Saint Marys Police Department. They now have four working K-9’s . They have to raise 100% of all their money for the support and operation of the K-9’s. Piedmont Mountainside Thrive 5k for Breast Cancer Join us to walk, jog, or run at this year’s Piedmont Mountainside Thrive 5k for Breast Cancer, presented by Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers – Jasper!  Step by step, you can help us make a difference in every life we touch and provide high-quality cancer care right here in our community. Last year’s Thrive 5k enabled Piedmont Mountainside to provide preoperative teaching to breast cancer patients to prepare them for surgery and treatment. Additionally, we were also able to provide post-surgery therapy to reduce the residual effects of treatment.  Proceeds from this year’s Thrive 5k will support Piedmont Mountainside’s priority breast cancer initiatives and services, including pre- and post-treatment patient education, lymphedema prevention, and programming for high-risk breast cancer patients. Kia Georgia and Anthem BCBS are proud to host the 2026 Spring into Wellness 5K at the beautiful Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Resort & Gardens on Saturday, April 11, 2026.  The event will kick off at 8:30 AM (Gates open at 6:30 AM) and will feature a timed and certified 5K, a Leisure 1-Mile Walk/Run, and a Tot Trot for children five and under. The awards ceremony will recognize 5K participants following the race. The  3rd annual Zachary M. Negrón Unforgettable Trail Race occurs Sunday, April 12, 2026.  This race is a family-friendly event with a competitive edge. Both the 5K  and 10K races are timed with a chip for those wanting some competition! This year, we are making it possible for the youngest runners to participate by including them in the day’s festivities with a Fun Run, which will allow those in second grade or younger to run a mile around the Georgia Cumberland Academy track. We run in honor of two causes. The Unforgettable Foundation of Tennessee assists at-risk and grieving families with finances to help them afford a timely and dignified funeral for their children. The Zachary M. Negrón Memorial Scholarship gives scholarships to a select number of students at Georgia-Cumberland Academy who mirror the traits of perseverance and hard work, characteristics Zachary embraced as a student at GCA to accomplish his goals.

The 10th Annual 5K begins at 3:00PM and the 1 Mile at 2:30PM.  Awards will be at 4:00PM. The entry fee for the 5K is $30 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is FREE to ALL runners! We will start with our 1 Mile Fun Run for the younger ages and any parents & adults who wish to run with and encourage the kids. Ride on Ryan is a sprint triathlon that takes place at L. Scott Still Park in Savannah, GA. The Ride on Ryan Triathlon and Duathlon is a USAT sanctioned event geared towards individuals of all skill levels. It does not matter whether you are a first timer or a pro athlete, this race is doable! This event is considered a sprint, so the distance is shorter than a regular triathlon or duathlon. Join us for the 2nd Annual Run for a Pawpose 5K, Kids Fun Run (ages 10 & Under), and Doggie Run, which will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 18th. The Run for a Pawpose 5K benefits the Pups With Purpose program through the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. This special event helps support a program that gives shelter dogs a second chance, while providing inmates with valuable life, social, and vocational skills.  This event is open to walkers and runners of all ages, as well as dogs. .The Street Dog Dash 5k is a registered 501c(3) non-profit annual charity 5k event raising funds for local and international animal rescue organizations. Taking place in the scenic riverfront Etowah River Park in North Canton, GA each April, this Peachtree Road Race qualifying event is family friendly - dogs included! RACEDAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL 8:45AM ON RACE MORNING VIA QR CODE FOR $40.00. CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ONLY.  All proceeds from the event are distributed to local animal rescue partners as well as dedicated international partners who work to end the suffering of animals in the Asian dog meat trade industry. We are running in honor of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty and raising funds to build a Fallen Officer Memorial on the University of North Georgia-Dahlonega Campus. This Memorial will have the names of the killed in the line of duty officers who graduated from UNG or worked for the UNG Police Department. The race will take place on the UNG Dahlonega Campus. The 5k race is on the beautiful campus of UNG Dahlonega. The course is 2-laps with a return to the start/finish line, around a magnificent fountain for lap number 2. The course boasts approximately 400 feet of gain. The last .25+ miles is a VERY fast gradual downhill into the finish line. A water station will be present at the round-about prior to starting lap number 2. Half of the laps are on a walkway and the other half is on the road. Come and get a PR!
